Will I need to know anything about Warframe in order to understand this story?
AWESOME SO FREAKING AWESOME. I love how you modified the Sacrifice quest for Inaros soooooooooo amazing

maybe read through the wiki a little just for general terms like Tenno and Orokin just to give a little background info

Not necessarily? There is some lore that is explained and others I am expanding from.
an umbral variant, or at least borrowing the traits, now that i think of it this does offer an actual explanation why the early frames could have been lost for so long after their original was destroyed, if they had been under tenno control i cant imagine they would have been lost so effectively, not that many models anyway, i had a theory that many of the lost quest frames had failed testing in some way and their models were abandoned, but this idea actually fits better for some of them
it helps

Well if you look at some of the lore behind some of the warframes it makes perfect sense, same with the The Sacrifice lore. The sacrifice basically explained that the original warframes were able to act of their own accord.

oh i know, i was just stuck in thinking that they were all distinctively different from their later version like excxalibur, but if i think of excal as the first and thus had more development later then it makes sense that the prototypes we get to salvage are the remains of other umbrals that never got the further development that the common production frames got so an inaros umbra would just be an ancient inaros, but a volt umbra would be distinct from a normal volt
Interesting... Inaros in Equestria... perhaps if Raven manages to get his trust then she'll have a rather powerful if... somewhat scary ally. I remember the abilities Inaros can do, though now I have to wonder...
Could Equestria have a connection with Orikin somewhere...? Or perhaps there's something much much deeper going on here to explain the Warframes existing. Regardless, those secrets will most certainly be linked with Raven for certain.
This is getting good, the best best theory i got on Inaros is he got Isekai, you see Inaros betrayed the golden skymen (Orokin) after returning the children from them in the Quest, they didn't like that so they send the Prime Warframes to rip Inaros in 3 parts. It means every Warframe that died is right there in Ravens world that also includes one of the Twin Queens. Good luck with that
A world with the Umbra warframes resting and protecting. I love that idea a lot, and can hardly wait to see what comes next. ^^
I kind of wonder what's going to happen if other Tenno do show up. >.>
I'll just place a bet on Clem somehow getting there before any Tenno. ^^
I am enjoying your tale greatly. One doth wonder if other frames of war will show? Perhaps Titania, as flight would be of an advantage. One of mine favorite to behold is Ivara in her Skathi form. It is like a hunting bird of prey. I wait with baited breath for the release of your next chapter.
A slight mistake, a warframe with memories are considered unstable and can resist a tenno's control, expel the tenno's and retaliate, so Raven shouldn't be too cocky about trying that...
Is this a reference to The Mummy or Indiana Jones?

Raiders of the Lost Ark for that one specifically.
There was a very subtle nod to the Mummy franchise though.
I think its a Wally's fault
At this point in the game, i'm convinced everything is a Wally plot

Haha, i knew it
Well didn't expect to be kinda both, but meh, whatever
Also also (just remembered)
There was a thing about sandy boi squinting his eyes
Not to butt in or anything, but i think scrunching his "face" would be more precise
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this. An Inaros just chilling inside his temple. It fits his lore quite well. What I want to know is where he went after this? And will we see him again?
Him having no operator makes sense, he was made before the zariman set sail to Tau. I did wonder if he had his orbiter hidden away somewhere, but I don't think he would have gotten one.
And a riddle too! I'm looking forward to reading more.
