It seems odd just how little fanfare or even dialogue this decision is relayed with. Luna gets 3 lines to Twilight, one of which is a sarcastic quip. Celestia gets 2 including closing the proceedings, and Cadance gets 1. Everything is so matter of fact, with no warmth or levity. It feels like someone who couldn't care less begrudgingly giving this responsibility to someone they have never met, or have a mild dislike towards, rather than someone whom all three are intimately familiar with and have known for years/all her life, and are good friends/savior of/mentee of/family with. There is not even an explanation of her new responsibilities or duties that come with the position! No expectations set, other than "do not disappoint us". It's no wonder Twilight thought she was in trouble from how they were acting. They don't even give her an option to accept or decline, just throw a bundle of papers in front of her and say this is happening starting tomorrow, we're done here. Sorry to say, but these princesses don't feel well written at this point in the story.
Suddenly Dusk Shine!

Hah, the princesses' description at dinner made me think of this
Twilight is Steven. I don't know about the gems. Someone else do it.
So glad this story is getting a continuation.
Last paragraph, "but to manage and entire town?" and should be an. Other than that no errors I could find. Good chapter for a good story.
There are 2 spaces between 'Up' and 'was'
