Chaos and the Apocalypse

The Apocalypse

Atop a lonely mountain in the far western parts of Equestria, four equines stood gazing upon the land that they had desired to destroy for centuries.

War scoffed in annoyance, "That foolish draconequus, it makes me sick knowing that we were cut from the same cloth as him."

"He's certainly changed for the worst," Pestilence added giving a sickly cough before continuing, "bending the knee to those naive alicorn princesses'."

"It's such a shame," Famine began slightly frowning, "I was hoping that he would accept our proposal, it's not the same when we use to be whole."

"It matters not brothers," Death said walking towards the edge of the base of the mountain, "whether it takes a month, a year, a decade, a century, or even a millennium, we will spread the apocalypse across Equestria."

The spirit of death gave a sinister laugh as red eyes began to glow in his empty eye sockets, "And Discord will suffer the consequences for his decision."

The other spirits also gave sinister laughs as well as their forms began to fade away, carried along with the wind.

Author's Note:

This was a one shot that I wanted to do for a long time. An interesting take on some of Discords past and his relation with the Four Horses of the Apocalypse.

Well that really all depends, Discord has no power over them just as they have no power over him. The Four Horses of the Apocalypse are the spiritual embodiment of what they represent. They may succeed, they may fail, but they'll never stop. Discord can help prevent an apocalypse but he can't stop them from doing what they please.

If that makes sense.
