There is no way Discord would have looked at this from a perspective of innocence.
Awwww Poor Scoots
At fist I thought this was a typo.
What's actually going on here?
What's up with the horisontal rules being square boxes?
Also, this is an amazing embodiment of Spike, summed up in just a few sentences.
Well let's hope he never does, because the writer will have one heck of a decision figuring that one out.
The ending is brilliant.
This is how I envisioned it:
"HOLD DOWN THE FORT SPIKE!"
Discord jumped up from behind the stand, a Gatling gun under one arm. He vaulted over the table, and charged the enemy.
Bullets wen't whizzing by, and bomb explosions wen't left and right. Discord ran right up to Flash Sentry, then stopped.
And in that moment, everything was still.
"I'M BACK!"
Well that was shit.
She wasn't really, though; the text at the time said that she yelped and whinnied, but a whinny isn't a scream and even a yelp is more of a cry than a scream. She also wasn't struggling that anyone would notice. We know that she'd had second thoughts and she wanted him to stop, and we know he was being dense and having a hard time understanding what she was saying because his head was fogged, but I thought the whole point of the scene was that Discord genuinely wasn't getting it that she wanted him to stop, not that he realized she wanted him to stop and was going on anyway. If she'd been screaming and struggling, I think even he would have gotten it.
While I like the scene here where it's sinking in on him that he did almost do something terribly, terribly wrong, I think using language that implies that Fluttershy's resistance was much more obvious than it was kind of ruins the romantic vibe of the whole story. If Fluttershy really was screaming and struggling, and Discord kept going anyway, then whether he completed the act or not he's basically a rapist. Given that it's Fluttershy, she was much more likely whimpering and wiggling, which is much, much easier to misinterpret as eagerness rather than resistance. (Doesn't change the fact that it was resistance and he did almost rape her, but I much prefer the idea that he genuinely misunderstood; even Discord isn't stupid enough to fail to realize that screaming and struggling = do not want.)
Huh, I thought for sure Discord was Brock. Even if he isn't, Brock is still really suspicious... Wonder who he is?
