Damn... the whole Spectrumverse is like the Warhammer 40,000 of Conversion Bureau stories; I love it!
"It is the 41st Millennium. For more than a hundred centuries the Empress of Ponykind has sat immobile on the Solar Throne of Equestria. She is the mistress of ponykind by the will of the gods and mistress of a million worlds by the might of her inexhaustible armies. She is a soulless monster bloated with power from the Bag of Lord Tirek. She is the Tyrant Sol of the vast Empire of Equestria for whom a thousand true pony souls are sacrificed every day so that she may never truly die. Greatest amongst her soldiers are the Converted Ponies, the Newfoals, soulless, potion-engineered monsters.
To be a human in such times is to be one amongst untold billions. It is to live in the cruelest and most bloody regime imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of technology and science, for so much has been forgotten, never to be relearned. Forget the promise of progress and understanding, for in the grim dark future there is only war. There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the laughter of a thirsting pony god."
Something tells me that the beneficence is going to be the aerial equivalent of the Landkreuzer P. 1500 Monster, except this one isn't going to be awesome but impractical.
P.S: Recently saw a season 5 animatic, for those who doesn't want spoilers, I'll just say the end of the video reminded me to the whole ponification process.
Before I make a comment on the story itself. I thought the truth was that the barrier cannot kill humans and that Celestia lied about it. The only thing the barrier would've done in the end was evaporate the building which would probably make everyone fall down instead, that and there's another way that the barrier could only kill someone: If they have any mechanical enhancements or treatments in their bodies that is needed to live, then the humans that have those things will only die.
4832985 No, the barrier itself is designed specifically to get rid of humans and their creations. But magic itself is not harmful to them. Hence why a unicorn could levitate a cup of coffee for themselves and the people next to them won't turn into lumps of organic jelly.
4845054 I'm finding it hard to believe that's true about the barrier, I'm pretty sure it's meant to get rid of human technology and creation. I haven't read anything where humans were killed by the barrier when it engulfed them. Although I'm sure any humans that were left behind would've been ponified by the newfoals on the other side of the barrier, completely naked, leaving no witnesses to discover the lie that the Queen made up (that's assuming if the barrier is not a teleportation device to a world between worlds, but that's a completely different theory). What I'm saying before is that I'm not sure about the barrier killing humans to be true and the only way that humans can die by the barrier if those specific humans are kept alive by human technology, which is what the only thing the barrier destroys. In short, I'm under the belief that humans can't be killed by the barrier unless they fulfill a specific criteria.
This was an utter beast to complete. Also, I see a few coding errors and missing words.
I really like the "A Story About Them" segment. Oh how I love this worldbuilding
Ya know, I know a certain Wizard in Chicago who just loves to play with fire...
Oh man... I don't know where to even start!
4822711 You took the words right out of my mouth...
Just... Damn...
4822866 I know man, I know
You used my Acronym for that magic absorbent missile
4822696
I know this wizard too :P
4822588 Uhhh... whoops. Sorry about the coding.
4823570 Looks like people are happy about your new Chapter Doctor

Also... On the topic of Weapons...
I had more... Ideas. Capital lettering necessary.

4823383 Of course I did, that was awesome

4822588 "A Story About Them" is my favorite one in here too.

4852976 Nope.
Pretty sure it still atomizes people.
4854604
You serious? So the only lie is that it's not impossible to live in Equestria i.e. the magic in Equestria doesn't kill people?
4855537 eeeyup
It's like that

Hey, I had a question about the main story but whenever I ask it there it gets buried by new comments.
In the against the Tyrant clone, during the standoff before the battle, Discord said that he would get it started.
I'm a little confused because it looked like he threw the giant fireball at the beginning to start the fight.
Pitch black darkness but yet, there's this tiny ray of hope in the distance.
Keep up the good work with what's arguably the darkest take on TCB.
4886159 He didn't throw the fireball. I think he used it to catch those humans or something
4888407 Thank you so much! We will
4889409
Oh! Thanks.
That was really confusing.
4594759 Dont forget a 500 Magnum submachine gun. There's no kill like overkill, especially for Kraber, right?
4975984 actually it'd be .50 Beowulf... But I'm not gonna do that
What happened to the new chapter? I got a notice that the story updated, but there's nothing here.
5061073 Most likely he/she accidentally hit the publish button before it was finished, so he/she took it down.
Wow that took me ages to read
