So, every month for the past few years now I've done up a chapter of Brightly Lit or its sequel, Brightly Lit 2: Pharos. However, what I write after that has always been a major decision and I often have people clamoring for fresh chapters of stories that have had to sit for awhile. Though I have been recovering from my back injury, the rate of healing has been slow. Too slow, even for an older pony such as myself. I finally dragged my carcass over to a professional back-cracker who I know and has seen me in the past enough to know that when I show up in his office it's because I am in genuine pain.

Just dashing off a quick note here.

I'm having to take a short hiatus from writing. I hurt my back at work by cranking a power jack around tight corners for 2 hours straight. Now, normally that wouldn't affect my writing because I could just sit at my desk and write. The problem is the meds they gave knock me out on my ass all day long. I'm literally getting home, taking my meds and sleeping almost until it's time to get up for work again.

• My son is about to move in with me.
• Brightly Lit 2 has been received well.
• Mental health issues are at a minimum
• Physical health is overall good, for someone of my age.
• My D&D group is about to attack the original Tomb of Horrors about 3 hours from now.
