Author reveal!(?) · 6:21am Jul 9th, 2020
Y'all get no eye reveal.
Every chapter following "Split Lives" (with the exception of the prequel chapters) are now undergoing rewrites. The current versions of the chapters have been transferred over to a separate, spinoff story, and will be deleted once that story is published.
However, in order to keep a stable update schedule, the rewritten chapters will not be published as they are completed, but instead will be published all at once, coinciding with the publishing of the new story.
Based off of a comment I received on a blog post, I've modified the latest chapter of Pony-Me to distance the story from the probably-overused Friendship is Optimal trope. I didn't intend to steer the story in that direction at all, nor did I want to turn away readers with the mention of certain elements of FiO. I was originally planning on further elaborating on the backstories with a follow-up chapter that
Both the Pony-Me reboot and Splintershard have lost one prereader each, though Pony-Me's reboot may or may not have lost another, depending on whether or not I get a response.
Lisa stood up, letting out a heavy sigh. New day, new things to do. She walked to the door and opened it.
“Took you long enough,” Timothy snickered. “I was thinking just now that I might have to barge in on you again.” He paused, looking over his sister. “…Actually, before we meet up with Sam, do you wanna head over to town hall and clean yourself up a bit? Grab some breakfast or something? You look like crap.”
Wow. Way to keep it subtle.
So.
The final finale.
I was thinking while watching the final song play out, what if following the end of the show, the entirety of Pony-Me is disconnected again, but this time for good? Like, the whole thing has had its plug pulled for the first and final time.
It's more just an idea blurb, so I've just let it sit. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It's getting close to a year since we've last talked. My only mode of contact left is via Facebook Messenger, and that's only because I've never used it until now.
Tonight, I have just sent a formal, true-to-the-heart apology to a friend that I deeply hurt last year. I know that there's a good chance that we may never reconcile, but I just hope that he will at least accept the apology.
1 - "Wake up" - draft 2
2 - "Take a look around" - draft 2 (unfinished)
Chapter 2 is currently ongoing revision after an awkwardly-written (and unnecessary) dream sequence. I've temporarily removed it from the chapter, and I'll likely do some major rewriting tonight.
I've since added quite a bit more to the first chapter, exploring additional aspects of the story's world that previously was assumed via Pony-Me's connection to the MLP universe. For example, the friendship between Twilight and Pinkie is instead transposed into Rebecca and Julie, with the latter still somewhat holding onto Pinkie's personality, but becoming largely a much more original character in and of herself, with additional traits contradicting Pinkie's to likely be revealed in later
First wrote it roughly halfway through Part 1. Last edited at the beginning of Part 2.
Given all the chaos surrounding the story concerning parallel timelines and alternate universes spawned by a single plot twist, I'd might as well rewrite the thing from scratch.
...And this time, it's gonna be rewritten from the ground-up, written in parallel to the second draft of the current Pony-Me's original fiction spinoff. That way, I'd be able to bounce between the two stories and make parallel modifications!
Not only that, but in rewriting everything from the ground up to match the better fleshed-out characters and lore from the original fiction, I'd have a chance to fix all those problems that showed up while writing Into Equestria!

The backup story to be published for Pony-Me's one-year anniversary tomorrow has finally been finished. The story is a small prequel of sorts, explaining in story form how everything began, and how it was all set into motion.
There's another, deeper meaning behind it, but I'll leave it up to the readers to discover.
Just as the original story, the cover art is created in collaboration between myself and my sister, Momoruuu.
Celebrating a year of Pony-MeTM and beyond!
Gonna post another story pitch at some point or another for another idea of how to build on top of Pony-Me.
The (mostly) same great cover art you know, with the same ol' characters you love!
(Mostly.)
haha rewrite go brrrr
Of course, I'll have a little slice of my thoughts included in an author's note on the first chapter dropping tonight at midnight (Mountain Time).

Might've popped her thumb up a bit too quickly though, but I'm still practicing.
Also, have a nice neutral-color wallpaper I made while working on reflective surfaces in Blender.

There. Now y'all know what she looks like.
My Own Reality: Chapter 3 is currently in the works, and is the first chapter to fully diverge from the story's Pony-Me counterpart. As such, it's quite a bit harder to work with. I'll post what I've written so far below for feedback.
