The latest chapter of Pony-Me has been edited to clear up some confusion. · 4:32pm Feb 26th, 2018
Based off of a comment I received on a blog post, I've modified the latest chapter of Pony-Me to distance the story from the probably-overused Friendship is Optimal trope. I didn't intend to steer the story in that direction at all, nor did I want to turn away readers with the mention of certain elements of FiO. I was originally planning on further elaborating on the backstories with a follow-up chapter that would've gone up sometime tomorrow, but I ultimately decided that it'd be best if I just went ahead and added extra dialogue to the chapter in question to clear things up.
First off, no, Celestia was only an AI in the very beginning, and the AI project for her was replaced with a series of people volunteering to "play" as her out of fear that another AI could fare just as badly.
Second off, Lisa doesn't remember much of her past life because, as hinted by the fact that her headset was a prototype in the earliest chapters of Pony-Me, she was actually one of the earliest testers of the simulation, and hasn't really put much thought into her old life in a very long time.
And third off, Pinkie/Samantha still has quite a bit more that she's hiding from Lisa...
