I got bored tonight and decided to mathematically reconstruct a 3D model of the Crystal Heart as of S6E1 ("The Crystalling - Pt. 1"). It's 3D printable, scaled to 'actual size' (near as anyone can tell, at any rate), and took me about 2 hours to make, mainly because I had to calculate a bunch of lengths and angles using 2D projection. I also need to make wings. Ouch. I've tried that before and I don’t see anything easy about accomplishing that but I’ll have an easier time than my last attempt four years ago. I've got a hunk of textbook next to me, and I've already done a few practice renders in Blender. It's mostly just a jumbled mess of edited cubes and monkey faces for now, but it' something.

I'm just internally wondering how long it'll take me before I can get into the pony stuff.

Gonna use this thing to do more 3D rendering stuffs. I'ma install this in my thrift-store workstation so that I don't have to worry about crashing my main system whenever I want to render a heavy scene. At least that way I can still work on homework and essays while things are happening in the background.

Took about half an hour to get the texturing done, and the color saturation rendered a bit wonky, but here it is.

Nearly forgot to make the render, too. :P

The center black diamond-thingy is actually a dark purple, but rendered grey no matter what render settings I chose.
