This post is not for those of you who have not read Shadow of an Empire yet. Why? Because it’s full of spoilers. Or will be. I’m not going to be the one posting them.
Hey folks! Remember what released almost two years ago today? That’s right! Shadow of an Empire is two years old on June 1st!
The War of Shadows is a three part series. The first part is Rising Rivals, which will be the one we're going to do soon. This is the first chapter, and the first battle Lee and Folteren will be in.
Then, when things settle down, a new problem arises. I won't go into detail, but both sides will return. I call it: Night Time.
Hey folks! I know, I know, you haven’t heard much from me lately. This week saw a Being a Better Writer post on Saturday, and that was it until now. But … I’ve had good reason.
Starforge is in the last five percent. Yes. It’s that close. So I’ve been just a little occupied. There’s a chance that maybe even next week it might be done. I’d be pumping out a lot of words a day, but there’s still a chance.

It was only a matter of minutes before Mark Williams made himself look like a fool in front of the camera. Todd Harris borrowed his dad’s video camera for the day, deciding that it would be a good laugh to record Mark’s horrendous tennis skills.
At least it isn't baseball.

We begin with Craig and Todd, who have just exited the library. Even after all they've been through, Todd doesn't want to go to the Dead Woods.
Seriously, though, when your dad was talking about his dreams, did it never occur to you that the woods he was seeing might have been the spooky, cursed woods?

Craig wakes up in the morning and begins to get dressed. He's going to meet his father today. His mother enters the room and gives him a look.
“That poor Kristy,” said Susan shamefully.

Health update: surgery went well. I can't feel or move my arm. Now I'm really typing with one hand.
The chapter begins with Craig's mother, Susan, finding him curled up on the floor next to his closet, covered by a blanket. Nice of the pillar to give that to him; wouldn't want him to get too cold.
Someone's there to see Craig. It's Kristy, his girlfriend.
For starters, I want to apologize to all of you for not having released anything new in some time. A lot has been happening in my day to day life, creating obstacles in my writing. Working overtime hours, dealing with my car, exhaustion, waves of writer’s block and handling a breakup (for the best).

Craig and Mark are on the road, headed for Spiers' church. Craig decides now's as good a time as any to ask Mark what his sister knows.
Mark kept his eyes on the road, even though he wasn’t driving. “Oh, yeah? Like what? Like how she wants to fuck you or something?”
“No, something a little more serious.”
Mark turned toward him and shrugged. “What’d she say?”

We resume our tale of woe and misery with Craig and Todd on the ground, Detective Eubanks pointing a gun at them. He wants to know what they know.
The detective kept his pistol poised on Craig. “My … partner …” Eubanks wiped his mouth. “My partner …” he began again.
“Are you talking about Underwood?” Craig asked. “What about the prick?”
“D-d-deeead!” Eubanks spat, wiping his mouth again.
In working on the next chapter of Frozen Shadows, I realized I can't rush this out today and suffer the quality in the process. So, since Hearts n Hooves Day is Sunday, I am going to release the next chapter then. Of course that means I have to make it fit the day's theme of love, which means showing King Sombra in the unusual position of either being in love or being the recipient of such feelings and have it make sense.
Hi everyone! Just wanted to say how awesome the reaction to my first full fic in years, featuring Tempest Shadow, was! I'm glad there were still so many old users sticking around and showing support, and I'm happy for all the new faces here too!
