Yeah, Ring's been up for 24 hours and I'm seeing Star Wars: The Force Awakens tonight, PLUS it's a holiday, so we can't make our deadline today. We'll have a shorter story to compensate tomorrow.

So I watched the Snyder cut of Justice League yesterday. Since my commentary on Game of Thrones was positively received, I figured I'd do another for y'all. Spoilers below the break for Snyder League and probably a bunch of other old superhero movies. Oh, and... Fallout 3, I guess?
So here's a real throwback for y'all. Some of my oldest followers, those of you who've been with me since I was primarily known for writing zany HiE, may remember that there was once a time when I also regularly wrote Fallout fanfiction.
So, I'm sure many of you out of my... 43 followers, are aware of KudzuHaiku and his story The Chase. I don't like it. He also has a prequel for it, called The Catch. I don't like it, and I riffed it (head over to F/F/T3K for that). So, after an amazing run with our first part of the riff, Steel, Ring, Scarlet, SC, and myself came together for our own full parody of The Catch.
So anyone who knows me at least reasonably well will know that I'm an avid reader of the MLP comics by IDW. I've followed them basically since they started, and in that time I've seen all their dizzying heights and their darkest depths. By which I mean that the overall comics massively vary in quality.

As we head into 2022 for the next chapter of this progressively worsening nightmare that we all live in, I wanted to touch base with you all so that you know what to expect from me going forwards (in terms of writing, I mean; I remain an unpredictable force of nature otherwise).

I will give the episode this. It added infinitely to the reservoir of freaky Pinkie faces, and that's never a bad thing. Also, return of Cherry Jubilee, which ain't bad. No Cheese Sandwich, though; I thought I saw mention of him being in this one.
And Beatles reference. Friend of mine would appreciate that one.
I saw it last night. I'll get more in-depth (with unmarked spoilers) below the break, but short summary: it was everything I needed it to be. I can't tell you hard enough to GO SEE THIS FUCKING MOVIE before clicking the "Read More."
The following are my author's notes for the 2021 rewrite of Wanderer's Diary for Archive of Our Own. Since many of them contain in-depth analysis in a similar vein to some of my previous reviews and commentaries, I have decided to collect and post them as their own blog for those who might be interested in hearing more about my creative process or general thoughts on both Wanderer's Diary and Fallout 3 as a whole. These notes will of course contain spoilers for both.
I periodically go back to revise my older stories for awkward phrasing, grammatical errors, and plot holes. I've done this with most of my MLP fics at one point or another, but it was always much more awkward to do with my Fallout stories, particularly since Fanfic.net's interface is so terrible, and Wanderer's Diary in particular is so long and unwieldy, as well as being some of my earliest writing, with the greatest number of technical mistakes. Amelia Dallon, AKA Miracle, is a bright, cheery, and mentally well-adjusted superhero healer. Victoria Dallon, AKA Gloom Girl, is a writhing ball of teenage angst and self-loathing in dire need of a therapist. Their relationship is absolutely uncomplicated and not problematic in the slightest.
I saw it last night. It's the best of the bunch, hands down. GO SEE IT NOW.

First things first, huge thanks to KillerSteel for his help in this chapter, namely the battle scenes. My style of writing is really more suited to dialogue-heavy or quiet reflective scenes, I think (you're TOTALLY open to contest me on that), so I'll likely be outsourcing all my fights in the future as I did this and last time.
So after a month's work, I have now finished my rewrite of Wanderer's Diary for Archive of Our Own. I have also since updated the Google docs and Fanfic.net versions of the story as well to incorporate the changes from the rewrite, while also cleaning up
