Wanderer's Diary rewrite complete · 2:20pm Jul 17th, 2021
So after a month's work, I have now finished my rewrite of Wanderer's Diary for Archive of Our Own. I have also since updated the Google docs and Fanfic.net versions of the story as well to incorporate the changes from the rewrite, while also cleaning up format-specific issues with those versions. For example, as the rewrite removes periods from acronyms, M.A.R.Go.T.'s name should no longer be broken in the Fanfic.net version, and the Google docs version has also been altered to look nice in both print layout and non-print layout.
Like I said in my previous blog, no major plot changes have been made from the original; it's just a cleaner and prettier version. However, I also wrote a substantial number of additional author's notes along with the rewrite, containing my commentary on both the fic itself and Fallout 3 as a whole, which probably took more effort than the rewrite itself, to be honest. They're available through both AO3 and the docs version, but I'll also be posting them in a separate blog here, since they're kinda analytical and reflective, in the vein of some of my other review/commentary blogs.
