I periodically go back to revise my older stories for awkward phrasing, grammatical errors, and plot holes. The following are my author's notes for the 2021 rewrite of Wanderer's Diary for Archive of Our Own. Since many of them contain in-depth analysis in a similar vein to some of my previous reviews and commentaries, I have decided to collect and post them as their own blog for those who might be interested in hearing more about my creative process or general thoughts on both Wanderer's Diary and Fallout 3 as a whole. These notes will of course contain spoilers for both.
So after a month's work, I have now finished my rewrite of Wanderer's Diary for Archive of Our Own. I have also since updated the Google docs and Fanfic.net versions of the story as well to incorporate the changes from the rewrite, while also cleaning up

As we head into 2022 for the next chapter of this progressively worsening nightmare that we all live in, I wanted to touch base with you all so that you know what to expect from me going forwards (in terms of writing, I mean; I remain an unpredictable force of nature otherwise).
So here we go.
The Sole Survivor's body count enters the triple digits and continues rising, in Survivor's Testament: Week Three.
This week: Back-breaking labour, major malfunctions, and an entirely undeserved promotion.
The Sole Survivor has not yet hit rock bottom, or at least he hopes not, in Survivor's Testament: Week Four.
This week: Deliberately caused accidents, ghoul groupies, and public humiliation as a means of discipline.
Heading into the city proper, we came to a memorial to the soldiers who died in the Battle of Hoover Dam, and an off-duty trooper named Kowalski paying his respects. Nearby, there was a bar being operated by one of Boulder City's few remaining residents, who told us about how dead it is around here. And of course there was also the massive pile of rubble and ruins that used to be the city, even more rundown than your usual pre-war ruins.
There was a small NCR presence there, people heading to and from Vegas, traders peddling their wares, a beggar who I gave some caps to, and surprisingly enough, some refugees from Primm who fled after the Powder Gangers attacked. A few of them are even preparing to make the trip back soon, since word on the radio is that somebody single-handedly cleared the gang out and restored law and order to the town.
God, this past week has been fucking weird.
"Don't give me that." Sam Miller sneered. "You're hearty enough to walk the wasteland alone, and sharp enough to still be making money with a gun. You're more than capable of stirring up trouble, however old you say you are, and I ain't having it."
"The last thing the Capital Wasteland needs right now is another hero."
