Afternoon folks! Max here with a news post! Just little odds and ends of news both local (ie, my news) and large (like say, Dragon Award voting). There’s no real order to this, just news as it comes.
Yesterday, as part of Veteran’s Day (since a buddy had the day off) I went and saw the new Dune flick.
With this year coming to a close, I figure it’s time for me to give my monthly update post.
So, I haven’t been on FiMFiction much, fewer ideas mean I’m not really as active as I was at the beginning of this year. I do have to say that my attempt at releasing a story every month has been a success. Not only did I manage to keep that intact, but I also managed to write some pretty good stories this year, too. While I’ve had many misses, I’ve been writing a little this year.
All right guys, it's been an interesting week. Which is putting it mildly. Given the rapid-fire swing from stress to panic to shocked and grateful relief I've had this week, it'd be remiss to mention it in a post about good news, because, well ... I'll just flat-out say it: You guys are incredible.
I realize that title sounds a bit strange, or maybe even upsetting. Just bear with me for a moment. There were good things about the Covid-year, by which I mean 2020.
Yes, I know that Covid-19 isn’t gone yet. It’s still sweeping through places—even my hometown—leaving pain and sadness in its wake. We’re still not through this. Not entirely.
Hey readers! Been sort of a quiet week from me, hasn’t it?
Well, I’ll have you know that’s because I’ve been hard at work on both Axtara – Banking and Finance and Starforge. Even better, work on both is coming along nicely.
So, harkening back to my last Blog Post. I’ve came up with a name for my first story pitch, I’m calling it The Stories We’ve Lost and it’s probably gonna have to take place in the future. I’ve also been toying around with the idea of making the female lead a lesbian, but that was more for my own amusement in my several ramblings to myself. I’ve also got two characters’ roles figured out (no names, a comment if you have any ideas would be appreciated), the female lead is the navigator and
canon stuff and misc notes: s6 ep1/2 contains spoilers

I hope this isn't implying a ton of sliceoflife stuff like last season. gimme lore! gimme adventure! sol is okay but...ehh...ponies are bout adventure, pure sol doesn't cut it.

Ways to make your library more manageable:
1) Sort stories properly by making multiple bookshelves: tracking, read it later, favorites/read, stories I didn't like. This is a good way to keep track of everything *and* if you're too busy to comment on a story or review them, brief titles and descriptions can serve as the more opninon based feedback some writers crave.
Might contain spelling errors even tough I tried to fix a few. Yes i made another one-this episode seemed to have some meat to it even if there wasn't a ton of super-lore I got world building. Yay!
