To celebrate my birthday, let's play some video games! (Courtesy of Oddity Archive) · 4:39pm Oct 4th, 2016
Not the kind you were thinking of.
Not the kind you were thinking of.
So guess what?
Finally done with exams!
T-Thanks…
Now I can spend time sitting on my ass and doing absolutely nothing, all while enjoying the sun. (Sometimes at least, I am in Bongland after all.)
So why not kick things off with a blog post? Yeah, sounds good. But let’s not make it pony related, just to spice things up, yeah?
Cool.
Sure it's cute to hear all the interesting stories about people playing Pokemon Go. I myself prefer the old fashion way to catch em all. It is this old technology that once revolutionized the gaming industry...
The gameboy! Or rather the Nintendo DSXL. I'm so hyped for sun and moon and the aloha versions of pokemon! Ice ninetails is awesome!
Also, I haven't been playing Mega Man fan games (The only place Mega Man continues to live.), Dark Souls (The first one because I'm that far behind.), or Pokemon Uranium (Habits formed as a seven year old are hard to break, but at least I'm sworn off the official stuff.). All those things in parenthesis should be ignored, and are things I would be saying if I did in fact spend the past month and a half playing video games. I've totally been writing, casually weight lifting, and eating less fast
I'm currently hard at work on an Android pony game. It will be something I can publish: it should be far enough away from MLP to be safe from Hasbro, while at the same time appealing directly to MLP fans with canon content that isn't locked down by copyright.
NO, IT DOESN'T FEATURE ME, NOR IS IT A CUTIE MARK ACQUISITION PROGRAM.
If you were expecting “Keep Calm and Flutter On,” you’ll find it here. Instead, we’re once again focusing on Spike. And once again, overcompensation is the name of the game, because in the space of two episodes, he’s apparently gone from utterly servile to as self-serving as draconically possible.
Ah, the Cutie Mark Crusaders. When a friend introduced me to the show, he described them as something of a Plot Tumor, and I can certainly see how those who watched Season 1 episodically would feel that way. We're introduced to this amazing world and six incredible mares… and then we have to sit through 22 minutes about a trio of yutzes who can't even tell what they're good at.
So I was playing NFS underground and got the car going downhill at a rate of speed that was already very impressive and usually unattainable which is when I broke physics. I missed a turn at the bottom of a hill slamming straight into a curb at about 300 MPH to be vertically launched like the space shuttle hundreds of miles into the sky instantaneously where I was treated to a grand view as I was given a slow circling tour of the entire region until finally slamming into the road at three
Holiday stuff right after that move slowed me down a whole lot. In the meantime I thought I would point out that I have been playing that Gameloft MLP game just when idling, I don't spend money on such things. Here is what just happened: I saved up enough gems to get Sweetie Belle. I got her, and then my game went completely crazy. When I clicked to get her the screen shook like mad and she fell out of the sky in a balloon, then sweet apple acres which I had mostly cleared closed ALL the areas
One last reminder: Less than 48 hours to submit Villain Exchange Program entries!
In any case, with Season 8 in the books worldwide, we come back to IDW… for a week. Just so you all know, there’s a holiday special coming up next week with timing that would make Jack Skellington proud.
Thanks to the magic of early airings, I have a hole in my schedule. One that’s just big enough for the first comics that demonstrated how Season 7 was the season of cross-media connectivity.
Another Thanksgiving episode? Must be time to unload some more proverbial turkeys (now more cynically than ever)!
This week, it’s Surr-yak Dragonclaw* against a rather svelte daughter of Atarka. Let’s see how this clash pans out.
* Yes, his shoulder pads are a bear’s face. One he punched to death. Surrak is basically a testosterone crystal that walks like a man.
Going by that title, Sunburst and Starlight are twins who were separated at birth… and still lived next door to each other. Still, we only saw one mother and one father between the two of them.
Huh. Out of all the things in Elementals of Harmony that might be confirmed, I never imagined it would be dragon molting.
This week, we return to the Friends Forever comics, with two kinds of old relationship, one in-universe and the other from back in Season 1.
So with the horror of RTC finally ended and a start to "A" school, I've got my technology back and with it the ability to write again. However, with "A" school I've also got classes and study hours to fulfill plus all the other hubbub of Navy life and that cuts back dramatically on pony time.
For the moment, Warren Peace reviews will remain on full hiatus.
Time to close out 2018 by finishing up the prequel comics for 2017’s pony movie. At this rate, I should catch up by June! You know, barring Season 9.
This week, it’s all about dreams, both aspirations in the waking world and the hazy narratives of slumbering minds. Well, dreams and Tabitha St. Germain. Let’s begin.
I'm working on a number of projects, but everything is slowed down at the moment.
This was in an episode.
I'm not sure what the deal is. I think my headspace is bad for writing because of some of the medication I've been taking, so presumably this will be a temporary hiccup.
My current front burner:
Update TSJ (finally)
