What In Tarnation? 4 stories There's a repulsive twist in there somewhere. Something gross happens to at least one person as the focal point of the story. The gross thing can be gorey or not, but cannot be sexual. This genre overrides all other shelf categories unless there's a total apocalypse scenario in there somewhere too.

Everypony Hated That 3 stories (Bookshelf title does not indicate I disliked the fic!!!) Wow! That basically didn't end well for literally anyone in the story! It wasn't even an apocalypse, everything just went horribly wrong for a few stupidly unlucky horses! Usually implies sadness over sheer fear factor, but still the sort of sadness that makes your skin crawl. There is no happy ending. The pain lives on after the credits roll.

She realized that the thing she hated the most was to see them suffer; especially when there was no guarantee that they would recover from an ailment. Fluttershy knew the kindest act she could ever do would be to release those animals… and ponies, from their misery. She would be their Angel of Mercy.

Diary of a Time Looper

A journal was found. Old and weathered with years untold. The first entry was dated yesterday:

My name is Twilight Sparkle, and for the last 33 days I've been stuck in a time-loop, repeating the 23^rd of March, 2 A.R. It is still unknown how the loop started, nor how I can end it. All I can say with any amount of certainty is that time for the rest of the world resets every night, and every morning I wake up it is the morning of the 23^rd.
