    Well, color me impressed.

All 78 episodes on 2 discs, the translation is just as solid as the Hulu version, the subtitles are on by default, and they even translated the mid-episode character cards.

Well, because there was no TYT this week...

Here's an absolutely adorable tutorial on how to hug your pony from doubleWbrothers.

So I've been busy away from ponies... Again...

With my quest/race to get a Rainbow S on all of Freedom Planet 2's stages, my creativity lit up like a bonfire again, and I started crafting an alternate ending of sorts for the past week.

That story is now complete, and posted in its entirety over on AO3.

Franchise First: Far Cry · 5:32pm Aug 16th, 2022

This weekend, I came across a fairly good deal on PC. Far Cry 3, 5, and 6 for $50.

FC3 is pretty decent so far, although I still have to get better about minding where I stand when I let loose with the flamethrower so the flames don't come right back at me because I'm standing in foliage and grass.

Looking forward to 5 so I can see what all the controversy was about. From what I have heard, you form a resistance movement against a bunch of Bible-thumping cultists. That's A-OK in my book.

I've also heard that FC6 is more of the same, but from my experience in 3 so far, I don't see why Ubisoft would deviate from this formula too much when it's been this successful.

Because Ubisoft be Ubistupid.

Trust me when I say FC3 gets a hell of a lot better as the plot progresses.

l have always loved the farcry games... l HIGHLY recommend you getting 4 and primal as well... they are actually connected

It was a compliment.

Don't fix what isn't broken.

Halo 4 and 5 are clear examples of what can happen when you do so in the name of innovation.

Okay, so you have FC3, you need to get FC3: Blood Dragon, that stand alone DLC is a love song to 80's SciFi Cheese! It was actually my first introduction to the Far Cry series. You get to play as Rex "Power" Colt, Cyber Commando! If that isn't a plus in it's favor, I don't know what is!

Also, always be careful with the flame throwers.... they have come back to bite me SOOOOOO many times in FC4 and FC5.

Far Cry 5, I liked it for the most part... but there are some points that really really really really really frustrated me. Overall, it's fun and I've enjoyed it's stand alone DLC New Dawn.

Just got started in FC6, so no opinion of it quite yet.
I play on Playstation, otherwise I would say, Let's Co-Op!

Looking forward to 5 so I can see what all the controversy was about. From what I have heard, you form a resistance movement against a bunch of Bible-thumping cultists. That's A-OK in my book.

The controversy (or rather “nontroversy”) wasn’t about the fact they were cultist with a religious bent (Christian obviously given the setting), but the fact that there were cultists who were women as well as those who were of African or Asian descent… aka a bunch of journalist and those on Twitter with a left leaning stance were calling it racist that the cultists weren’t all JUST evil white men (and missing the irony of their own racism) lol.

Thing was Ubisoft’s biggest inspirations for what would make up Joseph Seed and his “Peggies” (Project at Eden’s Gate) cult followers were based on David Koresh and his Branch Davidians as well as Jonestown’s James Warren Jones and his Peoples Temple: Cults of personalities centered around a false prophet twisting the words of a chosen religion (again, Christianity in both cases) to make sure it served their selfish needs who could charm and draw men and women from all walks of life and different countries, nationalities, and ethnicities to their fold.

Sure, there were the usual right-wing yahoos complaining, but then they always complain… but again, surprisingly they were not anywhere near as vocal as those Twitter people. Ubisoft just wanted to make a deranged cult lol.

Edit: But you’re still gonna have a blast with 5! Are you gonna play New Dawn after it, or maybe even Primal?

Edit 2: Also like Don above said, you gotta play Fac Cry 3 Blood Dragon! It’s too awesome to pass up!

The first time I saw the Far Cry 5 cover art I went, "that looks like David Koresh."

5680149
Exactly! Actor Greg Bryk does one hell of a job as Joseph in this game, as well as in New Dawn (which is the only Far Cry game that’s story is a direct sequel to the previous game’s) and surprisingly for 6’s dlc.

Far Cry 5 is awfull. I don´t even consider it part of the franchise. The story is amazing, but the gameplay is frustrating.

I've heard mostly good things, and won't be going off of any one person's opinion.

It plays a bit differently from what 3, 4 and even Primal played off from with the way you get new abilities/skills (in the mentioned games you get experience doing different tasks and then build up your experience points till you get an RPG style level up and then pick your abilities; in 5 they got rid of that and instead you gotta find skill books hidden around the map or as mission rewards that you then spend on skills). 5 has some slow moments here and there, but overall was still fun: For me the best part was the Guns and Fangs for Hire, and having different combinations of them in my travel group getting different conversations between each ones (or in case when paired up with an animal, making hilarious comments about them lol).

i always enjoyed the far cry games at least 4 and up don’t listen to the haters fuck em

You, quite literally, asked for our opinion. I gave mine. I love each and every instance of Far Cry, some more, some less, but Far Cry 5 was a pain to finish. The DLC, New Dawn, fixed a LOT of the problems and is way, way in line with what the FC franchise have to offer. But FC 5 is the bastard child of the franchise. You shouldn´t start with it. FC 3 is way more fun to play.

That´s, as by your request, MY experience with the game.

I started with 3. Hope 5 and 6 are just as good.

I still remember upgrading my pc to play farcry 1. You certinally should play that at some point as well as 2. 1 was the first cryengine game I believe. Blew our minds. 2 was cool as it had cool environmental physics. Then the crysis's came and murdered all our pcs lol.

Unfortunally I still haven't played 6, but I strongly recomend 4, too. Another great blast.
