It has been well over a thousand years since their so-called 'banishment'. Their unjust imprisonment, confinement in pure darkness. But the show must go on, for all the world is a stage, and they knew that with time, their final act would await.
As I promised, I've been working hard on both the sequel to my Midnight Sparkle series, as well as the odd oneshot to fill the gap before then. As a result, today, you get one such goodie.
I know this is overdue, and is kind of awkward to talk about since my second-to-last blog post was literally me talking about how I wanted to commit to regularly posting Secondo again and really hammer out the story properly.
Yeah, I'm sorry everyone. I had a few ideas for how to continue after the previous chapter but none of them I felt went anywhere exciting. In the end, due to a combination of work, lack of other ideas, and having other freetime activities to focus on, I simply decided I'd go on a bit of a hiatus for a while.
Freedom was within their grasp now. Over a thousand years of captivity, forced upon them by that stupid, self-proclaimed 'Great' Wizard Starswirl and his henchponies. Their great crime? Acting as according to the rules of nature.
Their prison, deep under the waves, was beginning to fade now. Beyond it lay a new, changed world. New nations and peoples, new cultures and new technologies that they could never have perceived in their own times.
Vengeance, the one thing now driving them, seems within grasp, but with a world that has become so much more dangerous and unknown, every step forward is best planned ahead carefully.
After churning out at least one chapter per day, we're finally getting close to the end of the story! With today's release accounted for, I expect there to be about 4 more chapters to go - which is ironic because I said the same 4 chapters ago but... oh well. This time for realsies?
