Their Very Own Suns: Next Chapter Update

Hey there, Sunbros! It sure has been a long time, about... Let me see here... yeesh, over two years?

Kudos to those of you who have stuck around. I left the story off at a major cliffhanger, and I can't apologize enough for leaving you all hanging :twilightsheepish: I've had it happen to me, and I'm all too familiar with how much it sucks.

    An Update About My Updates

I've officially run out of funny ways to say I've been gone for a while, and I'm not going to try to come up with one for fear of sounding real cliche. I do want to give all of you who have been real patient for updates on my stories what I hope is an explanation, rather than a wall of excuses.

10,000 YEARS- will give you such a crick in the neck!

Starting to feel like a one-trick pony here, but with said trick being coming back to life every now and then, is it really so bad? :twilightblush:

The Part Where I Apologize Again

Oh man, I wonder when the last time I logged in was-- July 22nd

Actual footage of me coming back from the dead for the third time.

Well, it looks like I may have accidentally slipped off the face of the earth again... But I'm back! That's all that matters, right? :twilightsheepish:

An Update About My Updates · 4:14am Aug 6th, 2022

I've officially run out of funny ways to say I've been gone for a while, and I'm not going to try to come up with one for fear of sounding real cliche. I do want to give all of you who have been real patient for updates on my stories what I hope is an explanation, rather than a wall of excuses.

Without going into any deep level of details, the last two and a half years of my life have been really busy (which is a real understatement). I've moved twice, met a woman I love who later became my wife (we've recently had our first anniversary), I've gotten a promotion at my job (in more than one sense), and (on a much lighter note) I've gotten myself sucked into a few other hobbies to stay in touch with my friends from high school and college (and it still hits me like a truck that I started Human Nature at the beginning of my junior year in HS :twilightblush:). All this to say, my free time has really been cut down. Between working my new schedule and spending time with my wife and friends, what once used to be every other day being free for writing has now been torn down to half of every Friday. It's... really hard to write now, and I don't see it getting any easier on the horizon.

That being said, I'm not giving up. I love writing stories, even if I'm not as fast at it as I used to be or only have half a day per week to do it. To risk sounding sappy, I can't oversell how much I appreciate the support you all have given me. You guys are the reason I keep coming back time and time again. It's going to take some time (I feel like I've only blinked, but three weeks have passed since my last update), but I'm going to finish these stories, both Human Nature and Their Very Own Suns.

There's a whole chapter's worth of words more I want to write in this, but it doesn't quite feel like the right time yet. Besides, like I said, three weeks have passed since my last update, and I've barely written two pages since. For now, I just want to thank you all one last time.

You guys are the best audience I could have asked for, and I hope to deliver the best stories I can in return.

That's good to know. Now give us that new update already!

Jokes aside, I sympathise.

With little to no blog updates I'm sure many people (along with myself) were starting to get worried. But I'm glad to hear things are going well for you IRL. Thanks for the update!

Their Very Own Suns was the first story I faved on fimfiction. I'm still curious about how it'll develop. Take your time and enjoy your life, I'm sure we'll still be there when the next chapter rolls out !

Hey, life happens man. Don't feel like you're contractually obligated to post for us~ Take as long as you need.

Glad to hear the last two years have been going well. Don’t worry, slow or not. We will be still be here. TTFN!

Those of us that are still left around here are probably mostly the veterans. You don’t have to worry about leaving stories, we’re patient. And if you end up leaving stories unfinished, that’s okay too. We’re used to it. We appreciate the fact that you share with us at all. I could never begrudge a writer for not posting.

We salute you, Blank! Knowing all those details about what’s been going on in your busy life is humbling, and we’re all proud of you for living life to the fullest!
Godspeed, my man!
