CHAPTER 11 PROGRESS:
Stage: First draft

Boo! Hope I didn't shock you with this startlingly sudden and timely post.
It's been half a year and the story does indeed still progress! Recently I've been making a lot of headway on chapter 11 after a brief bout of writer's block regarding its structure. Now I've got it all sorted out and things are going well. This chapter (which will be a little shorter than the last few) is the end of act 1 so I want to nail it as best I can, there's some significant characters incoming and a couple of plot twists. Act 2 is almost entirely mapped out and has some of the most exciting scenes that I cannot wait to put to the page; these are moments that have existed since 2016 when I was originally drafting OSha. While much of it has gone through significant improvements, Brayton Rouge is one place where the plot has always converged in a big way, and what's coming is gonna surprise you, I hope!

General changes:
-Improvements to spelling and grammar throughout.
- I was a couple months late to the party, but I watched Arcane in April and was floored by how exquisite it was. The writing, the characters, the music, the animation, the pacing... everything blew me away. It was so good, in fact, that it did the impossible and got me to play League again for a short time, which I had sworn off in 2014 as a game not for me. I'm still not particularly great at MOBAs, but I do understand them much better now, and the renewed investment in the characters helped my attachment.
- Wasteland Economics has been officially set as cancelled. I had long since come to terms with the unlikelihood of seeing it completed, but Doctor Ham was gracious enough to provide an in-depth blog post regarding the story. Now we know where WEcon would've gone, and we even got the mostly-complete and unedited chapter 17 that was never released until now. Many people may not care about this, but it meant so much to me as this story was a huge influence on OSha and still stands as my favorite FoE side story. It's still worth a read if you've never checked it out before!
- As you'll see below, I finally commissioned some art of Zero! He was the third character I ever created for Of Shadows, right after Quillwright and Willow Wisp, and I'm really glad for him to at last come to life both in the text and through art c:

Wasteland Economics was such a great story. Sad it was canceled. I really enjoy your work too. In the process of rereading Of Shadows. Keep up the awesome work!
