New Story in the Works

So, I've had this tale in the works for a while. I think I started plinking out words on the idea around when I published Breakfast at Twilight's and/or Cadence of the Crystal Empire.

And now I'm back to writing, if slowly, and I hope to have the first chapter up soonish.

It takes place in the Sunset Rising timeline, being this universe's equivalent to To Where and Back Again.

As usual, I give no promises as to who will live, who will prosper, who will fail, or even who will die*. I do, however, promise that I will make the story itself generally uplifting to the best of my ability (also as usual).

So, don't let the tags freak you out.

And, while the story does cover a war between the Changelings and Equestria, most of the action is going to focus on the princesses and their friends, with very little focus on the battlefield itself. There will be some - there kind of has to be - but there has never been a time in my life when someone in the world was not at war, and I got tired of war stories a long time ago.

I have no idea how long this story will be. It might only be a few chapters, or it might be the longest freakin' thing I've dropped on the site yet. Heck, in a sense, it started back in Cadence of the Crystal Empire. And, of course, it's been alluded to in If You Would Friend a Tiger.

But in this upcoming tale, the story of Chrysalis' madness and hate will finally be concluded.

One way, or another.
