I dunno if I ever told anyone this here but I'm remembering all the bits and pieces I thought up about Reunion back in the day and one thing I remembered was that I always had this version of this song pegged as the sort of central song of Reunion. When the second guitar kicks in it really starts getting a hint of that Theme of Laura vibe (even if it lacks the electric guitar, being an acoustic track and all) and the lyrics always struck me as rather relevant. The original track was obviously too bombastic to fit the story well enough, but this acoustic cover I've always felt tones it down just enough, and adds to that melancholic angle a bit more so that it fits way, WAY better. I don't know, I might just not have an ear for music, tell me what you think!
Also, I'm in the middle of having to move my water bed out since it's days are done and it's currently leaking all the hell over my bedroom. After that though I really feel like I'm gonna write down an outline of what the concluding chapters are going to have in them for my own benefit, because I had a mini crisis where I was reading the last chapter and I first realized that I forgot what the HELL the syringe was for, and subsequently I realized it was because I had also forgotten a monster my ass made up in the first place even existed. Been away from this too long lol
