Nah it's actually not as cool as that. I'm STILL alive, last MRI was clear, still no tumor related symptoms, and I've begun my second round of chemo wherein I take double or triple doses for 5 days in a row once a month for six months. The "LOLCYBORG" bit comes from a little device called Optune, which generates a Tumor Treating Field through basically all of my brain as long as it's attached and powered. The TTF leaves every cell alone, except when certain unreasonable cells try to replicate, at which point it's going to interfere with the process enough to POTENTIALLY just kill it right there. Ideally I would wear it 24/7 but the reality of basic maintenance says otherwise so I'm aiming for three days on, one day briefly off for cleaning and such, and then back on it for another three days. This will continue for maybe 2 or 3 years, or however long it takes for the doctors to say I can probably let off of it... or I die! That's still a thing that might happen with my diagnosis, but I reiterate what I've said before that my oncologist has been nothing but optimistic in my particular case, and has not done anything like recommend I get a last will and testament put together. So either I have a chance to actually beat this, or they're going to be able to control it so long they're confident a cure will be available eventually.
So basically my therapy policy remains THIS:
