Shingles, yay! · 12:48am January 26th
So apparently the Chicken Pox virus that has been idle in my body ever since my early childhood caught sight of all the cancer therapy I've been doing and went "would be a shame if someone took advantage of a slight downturn in your immune system," and then I break out in Shingles on the right side of my head at age 37. They usually only START worrying about that at age 50+! What a blessed start to the year!
It's at least on the mend at this point, took antivirals for a good week and now I'm using ointment on my right eye that's near blind right now from viral conjunctivitis, but my vision is coming back slowly so that should be on the mend too. Had to delay my MRI since they didn't want me in there while sick, hope that one's still clear. I continue to not have any of the old tumor symptoms though so I'm optimistic.
As always, wishing you my very best throughout everything 17. You are one of the strongest people I’ve ever known. Hope everything clears up so you can get that MRI soon!

You'll be happy to hear my MRI is scheduled for the middle of next week!
This makes me feel lucky I only had thyroid cancer and that it didn't spread.
Anyway, I hope things get better for you soon.

You ain't joking, I still can't believe I was lucky enough to have my glioblastoma in an operable position and the surgeon was able to remove it completely! Still might grow back but signs are looking good so far.
