>< So close. · 3:40pm Apr 6th, 2022
Hey there, Readers!
I've lost track how many times I've apologized for the delay, believe me I'm more aware of it than anyone. A few of you have sent me private messages asking for progress updates so rather than keep answering those, here's a quick recap of where things stand:
Chapter 37 is COMPLETE! It's been written, revised, revised again, reorganized and all that good stuff. It's ready to go!
Chapter 38 is IN PROGRESS! I'll peg it at 80% complete at this point. I have a few scenes that need to be written and some I's and T's to respectively dot and cross.
So the obvious question is, why haven't I published Chapter 37 if it's done? I might have mentioned this before, but the next two chapters contain significantly overdue answers that I really do feel are best told over separate installments. I don't want to publish Chapter 37 and risk someone correctly predicting the next chapter because I gave y'all weeks to stew on it. What I'm going to do is publish Chapter 37, then wait until the next day to publish Chapter 38. That way you'll all have some time to digest the first chapter before diving into the next. Ideally this will take place over one of the upcoming weekends, so keep your feathers crossed!
Thank you thank you thank you all for being so patient with me. These two chapters have required more planning and organization than any others and I don't want to risk rushing them out only to realize too late that I forgot to tie off a plot point that only had this narrow window to be revealed impactfully. If if makes any of you feel a little better, I've practically had to reread half the story myself just to ensure the continuity is correct. @Fafanori knows this better than most :3
Tentative release date for Chapter 37 and 38 is April 16th and 17th! Keep your eyes peeled!

Thank you for what you do. Content creators, especially fiction writers, are my favorite. Finally sat down and did subscribestar to support you all. 🙏🏻

^_^ You're welcome! What's subscribestar?
At the top of fimfiction here it says support us on subscribestar. Maybe just the website and not specifically the ones that write in it?

Oh, that's what those bronze/silver/gold tiers meant! I thought they were more of a tenure on the site reward!

^_^ Nice, that was pretty painless!

Subscribestar is sort of like Patreon, which is what FimFic used for years to stay afloat, then someone made the folks at Patreon aware of the more questionable content lurking on the site, and Patreon shut down FimFic's account. So, Knighty migrated to Subscribestar. It's a means of giving funds without a direct exchange of goods/services, and it allows recurring payments.
The gold/silver/bronze badges are just to show that you help pay for the site. Plus, it occasionally makes people curious about the badges, and some of those curious peeps might wind up joining in to help pay the bills, so to speak.

Well count me as a curious supporter! I've been using Ko-Fi as a tip jar for my fiction, but I believe I'm in the same boat as recently I've been fighting with them to republish my page. It's frustrating how vague they are, but I'm going to keep beating my head against the problem since they're the only service I've found that don't take a massive chunk out of commissions and donations. Bleagh.

I tried looking that route too, but the ko-fi link just sends me to the home page and searching for you yields nothing

It's currently unlisted until Ko-Fi's mods figure out what's breaking the rules. I haven't a clue anymore...
Much as I'd like the next chapter of this story, I am also so behind on other stories, and have so many other things to do as well. So no worries for the delay on my account. :)
Good luck!

Well that sucks. Shouldn't be so difficult to support creators
