Minor FOE:Renewal Date Tweak & Sequel Update · 12:48am March 12th
Hey all, long time no see!
Real quick, for those of you who have read or are currently reading Renewal, you might notice that the years have changed in all the timestamps. 
Short version is, in better keeping with the Fallout crossover theme, I adjusted the year the bombs fall in Renewal from 1067 to 1077.
The long version is... well, a bit longer. Suffice to say, early on when I started writing the book I had to contend with coming up with a numerical timeline for when certain things happened and I ended up doing a combination of overthinking and underexecuting. I had a lot of internalized justification for why 1067 was a better fit and throughout the story I never stopped to put any of those reasonings down to paper. Basically it turned into a random number that only served to confuse me as I wrote subsequent chapters. It's Fallout, right? Everyone knows 2077 is the capital B capital Y Big Year. The fact that major events in the story take place 10 years *after* the bombs fall only added to my own confusion when it came to timestamping. Blech! Blech says I!
So I finally scoured all fifty chapters and adjusted all of the dates forward by a decade, making 1077 the year the bombs fall and 1297 the year Aurora & Co. unleash shenanigans on the wasteland. I've made sure to go back and look for other potential issues with continuity and correct them, including Teak's journal entries, all those pesky terminal entries that happen before and after the war, and I'm pretty sure I pinned down just about everything else in between. There may be one or two outliers that I missed, so let me know if you spot them, but other than that I'm fairly certain I whacked all the appropriate moles.
As for the sequel, it's finally in progress! At the moment the working title is Fallout Equestria: Uplift and at the time of posting I have two completed chapters in my pocket. I still don't have a hard date on when I'll begin publishing chapters, but I'd like to at least have ten of them knocked out before I hang the Deadlines of Damoclese over my head. It's been nice being able to write without so much pressure to hit my own arbitrary chapter-a-month goals, so having a backlog of completed chapters on the sidelines should help me stay stress-free once I get things rolling on FIMFiction. ^_^
