Hello friends,

So, just today, I released the finale of Case 21. That's the good news!

Now for the bad news. I'm afraid that Rising Nightmares has to go on hiatus.

I originally had a different plan for this case: it would've been a fair bit shorter and involved the protagonists trying to intercept Caballeron from stealing a trove of amberclaw from a sunken ship in Horseshoe Bay. Unfortunately, when I got to that part, I realized that it wasn't gelling right and I had to completely abandon that plotline and come up with a new one on the fly, while also dealing with some nasty writer's block. On the upside, I like how it came out a lot better than the original plan. On the downside, I feel it's pretty rough and I will admit, I was kinda rushing it at the end just trying to bring it to a conclusion.

And I'm still dealing with this block writing Case 22: I've already had to completely ditch a planned subplot and come up with a new one, which has put me very behind on my writing schedule and eliminated my "safety net" of unreleased chapters.

Bottom line: Rising Nightmares will have to go on an indefinite hiatus while I take the time to properly plan out and write the next case. I want to give you all my very best writing, and I can't do that if I'm still coming up with plans ad hoc just trying to get through this block. As of yet, I can't give any predictions as to when chapters will start to be released again, but I want to try to complete write out Case 22 and start on 23 before I do, so we're probably looking at late April, if not May. I'm sorry to do this, but I feel it's necessary for myself.
