Kestrel maturation as an analog to a growing phoenix chick · 7:57pm Dec 29th, 2021
Hey all.
So, good news. Over the winter break, I managed to carve out a little time for myself to re-work my outline for the final part of book two of Phoenix-born rising. It still needs work, because I'm not happy with some of the recent parts, but it feels good to have a chance to write "not job application / thesis" stuff for a bit. So, things are underway.
In the meantime, Robert E. Fuller (a British naturalist) recently posted a documentary on a pair of kestrels raising a clutch of eggs all the way to fledging, and since I based the process of Phoenix maturation on the maturation of a falcon chick, I figured everyone might enjoy seeing the process unfold.
And another covering the maturation of peregrine falcon chicks.
In any case, hope everyone has a happy new year. Stay safe out there.
