General Update + Announcement · 8:21am Oct 6th, 2021

Hey there everyone. Hope you all are doing alright. I know the state of the world less than ideal right now with all that's been happening. :pinkiecrazy:

So I want to do a little update post giving you some info on the projects. :trollestia:

Firstly, I wanna again apologize for the lack of work on Ein Sof Zealotry, it's just I haven't had much in the way of time or motivation to really do much with the project. I had several plans for how to revive it, but I'm conflicted with how to approach the rewrite. Honestly at this point, I'm considering giving up and just working on a spiritual successor story I had an idea for instead. I don't know if the project will have a proper end to it and part of me just wants to put it to rest. But I'll figure something out. Maybe. :twilightblush:

On another note, my current work for Queen of Crimson Crows has been enjoyable, but I've been finding myself with a degree of writers block for it as I try to keep a consistent effort for it. Frankly, the four and a half chapters I've done this year is more work than I've done in the past five years. Yet as I'm putting in this effort, I've promised consistently I'd be putting out artwork for the project. Well, that hasn't bore much fruit due to general lethargy and other distractions obligations. I will make do with that promise but I just haven't had the motivation or energy to draw lately; honestly, I consider myself a better writer than an artist, it's easier for me to pick up and work with. I'm feeling a bit burned out by work and the project as a whole as I try to plan and write the thing, trying to get through the buildup and get to the payoff. So I'm considering experimenting with a different format: releasing scenes as I complete them, at least through the Bloodmist chapters that I'm finding a bit of a slog to go through. I don't plan on keeping this formula for the remainder of the story, I just feel this would be a better way of keeping up with the project temporarily, it'll help me keep the strain off of getting the art out and I feel a bit more accomplished putting out more often, even in smaller chunks; I like long chapters but they've been over 10k so far and I wonder if the smaller bite sized portions would be better for readers in addition to me. I dunno, I'll try it and if any opinions are voiced about it, I'll revert back early. :unsuresweetie:

So on that note, to counter the staleness of the burnout, I'm going to be reviving an old project. I've gained a renewed interest in working on Twilight Velvet's "Pseudo Facade" after watching some of the work's inspiration recently, the Detective Conan franchise. Though before I work on finishing at least the first book, I want to go back an update the old chapters first. I've noticed some spelling and punctuation mistakes as well as a few continuity issues, I want to fix these plus update to fit with more recent ideas. I'll figure it out as I go along, but for now I'm switching it off Hiatus status and to Incomplete as I plan to work on it again. :raritystarry:

That's about all. I don't really know what to say other than thanks again for being with me, you give me the motivation to bring something out there, even if it's not acknowledged as much as I'd like it to. Have a blessed day and I hope Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas treat you well this upcoming season.
