August Update - Projects + Life

Hello everyone. I have had a lot of things have happened over the past month since my last update.

So first of all, I am sorry to say that I've had to say goodbye to my kitty, my baby boy and best friend Ninja. He was 15 years old, he lived a good life, but he reached an apex in his failing health near the end of July and we decided it was best to put him to rest. I love you buddy.

With that out of the way, I've been putting my priority in getting my GED, fixing my finances, and starting an IT career. As always, fanfiction is a hobby and I upload on a "when its done" status. That being said, it always bothers me when I can't find the time or energy to write, so I've been trying to make more of an effort.

That leads me into updates concerning the projects.

Queen of Crimson Crows Chapter 6 is still being written, it's a big one and the loss of my cat coupled with the stress of my job/education/finances have made things slow. I can only try and promise it will get done before the end of the year, hopefully sooner rather than later.

But with that being said, I have made a decision regarding Ein Sof Zealotry. For years now, I've been trying to figure out an effective way to continue the story with a rewrite. I've wanted to continue from the story so that the established audience for it can come back to it, but aside from wanting the new story to stand on its own, I feel that will mess with the flow of the old story and cause confusion. So I've decided to do this:

I'm going to write a final chapter for ESZ, an epilogue. This will lead into the new story's prologue, which will be its own story separate from ESZ. This will allow current and future readers to flow seamlessly into the new narrative while finally allowing me to put the old story to rest and marking it "complete". I have decided it is best to just start anew with another setting and another story. This new story will be a sequel, though in effect more of a "spiritual successor". Again, I reiterate that some of the changes you may agree with, some you may not. I am older, wiser, and have more experience and I am more confident I can make this work.

I will post an update in the future when I have things ready to launch. Until then, I want to thank you again for staying with me and putting up with my flakiness. I just hope you can understand my struggle, things haven't been easy for me since the pandemic hit, but all things considered in the state of the world, I think I could be doing worse off.
