Been sick for the past two weeks. Barely kept a thought in my head during that time for longer than a few seconds (one of those kinds of bugs). The idea I floated in one of the groups last week was a rare exception but still not something I feel I could do justice to. I'm mostly recovered now so I can finally get to work on the next chapter. Just need to work on Cremator in my head for a bit.
Tael.
Take your time and don't stress yourself too much. We've been worried and prefer the site with you in it.

I know and am incredibly grateful for the encouragement, support and advice all of you have shown and given.
Despite not wanting others to worry, things do eventually get too much, like in the previous post now deleted. I do actually hold off on posts like it and even this one, in fact this is the fourth attempt to post about being sick. I held off in this case until I really did feel nearly recovered because, last time I posted one like it, I ended up having it linger for at least another week.
I am sorry for the silence after that post and few answers. I regret what that could have unintentionally implied. I basically felt myself getting sick on the Tuesday. Following morning I had to run through the fun damage control of if needing a doctor, I will need a COVID test because it is symptoms similar to COVID, and I had an appointment the next day. Since then I have mostly existed in a mental fog wishing I could be more functional/useful. Forming a few responses to questions sent to me in that time was... interesting, especially forgetting the names of characters I had created along with their motivations.
I'm sure I don't just speak for myself when I say I look forward to your progress. You probably agree with me which proves my point.
Glad you're feeling better.

Thanks. A big bonus for the next chapter is that a bunch of the notes are really in depth to try and get an exact feeling or thought across, so thanking past me a little there. The daunting part is that has caused the notes for the chapter to be four pages long. These are moments I definitely want to get right though as they set up a few things.

This isn't bragging or in any attempt to one-up you, but when I read that line I immediately thought about my notes section for One Thousand Years Later. Before replying to your last reply, I first opened up the notes itself. Within it, I discovered that they are 27 pages long and has a word count of 14,378. Most of my stories don't have notes section that long. In fact, my newest story, False Face, doesn't have even a single page of notes, for I did not create the document at all. It wasn't necessary because there was no OC characters . . . Actually, no. Scratch that. There are a few OC characters in the new story but I handled them more organically. The whole story practically was written within pure intuition. With 1k Years Later, however, not only did it have a bunch of OC's but also organizations, countries, plot-lines, important possessions to list including an entire airship. 1k Years Later had a complex plot, especially the second book which I'll probably never finish because there isn't much incentive anymore.
I think I have had a book in the past where the notes section might be larger than the book itself. I used to rely on that formula a lot because it helped to build my confidence and put some structure into the story before building around it. It's kind of like the skeletal frame of a house before filling in anything else.
My point is, I know how you feel on that front. I suspect most writers do.
