The last few days were crazy but some things need to be addressed. So I would make four points before I start.
One: Anything about the MAP community should not be supported and I will never stand for it no matter what. The day I even considered the thought that a child can consent will be the day I put a bullet in my head.
Two: I am a huge believer in freedom of speech and creativity. People have the right to speak their minds even if it’s wrong and crazy bullshit. People also have the right to respond to that said bullshit.
Three: No one should send death threats to anyone even if they had it coming or did something to deserve it. EVER!!!
And four: Expressing concern is not being hateful or mean in any way.
With that being said, let’s get into it. From the beginning, I saw the whole thing unfold, which is how I know what happened.
So the author who posted the blog saying they were going to kill themselves posted a story that showed a “Romance” between an adult teacher and a minor rated E. The story was intentionally placed into the pride and positivity group. A group whose purpose is to celebrate something in the “real world” through the construction of stories. The author knowingly posted a rated E story in a group that aimed towards real-life acceptance.
So this wasn’t a “work of fiction” that everyone rally up and started picking on an innocent person who was trying to post a bit of creativity.
No, this person posted a story with a purpose that takes it right out of the world of fiction and makes it relevant to reality. This is something that MAPs tries to do. They use the LBGT community to gain acceptance, but the LBGT community is not having it. This is why the group owner of the Pride and Positivity group removed the story as well as banned the person from the group.
So the backlash they received was something to expect.
Secondly, they posted a blog a week ago saying how these types of stories need to be accepted saying this:
“I think it's time to show these users that WE ARE WELCOME HERE! I'm encouraging every single user on this website to be a voice that foal/adult love is not only allowed here, it's something that anyone can enjoy, regardless of your personal, moral, or political opinions.”
Even in their suicide note they stated:
“I feel like because of who I am, I will never be treated the same as other people, and the only way to avoid the mistreatment of others is to hide. Forever.”
This person knows their line of thinking is messed up and people won’t accept it. Which they shouldn’t.
“The group owner of the Pride and Positivity group not only removed my story from the group, but also banned me to prevent further stories like mine from ever being added to the group again. My love was considered sick. An illness. Even a perversion.”
This story was more than a story. It was meant to make a connection to the real world. And of course, people responded. Yes, there is no doubt in my mind this person received deaths threats which are NEVER okay. Even people who asked for it and did something, said something that is crazy or bad, you should never ask them to kill themselves or wish harm onto them. That helps no one.
This was why even after reading the story that was fucked up, being blocked by the user after trying to have a mature conversation with them, and hearing what they believe, I still posted an alert and even called the police to find the user.
I don’t wish for them to die. Just for them to get help.
However, the user took general concern as hate.
“Before deciding to turn comments off entirely, I was hit with an onslaught of users telling me that I would never belong. Some of them made blog posts telling others to downvote the story and congratulating them on refusing to accept people like me in society. Others just left nasty comments that told me what a sick individual I was.”
Not everyone who responded was being hateful. They were bringing up an issue that rightfully needed to be called out. And now those people are receiving hate from supporters of the users and people who don’t know what happened and being called murders and bullies.
Some even saying they were “kink-shaming.” Which saying wanting to fuck a child is a kink is fucked up. But these people are not bullies. They did nothing wrong with bringing light to a matter that involves having a relationship with a CHILD.
CHILDREN CAN’T CONSENT!
People calling the user out are not bullies. They had the right to be concerned. Can we please not call people being concern about disgusting thoughts and potential pedophiles bullies? So before you call people out, get the full story first.
Some people are saying this is what the person wanted to do for attention which could be a possibility but we don’t know.
Be careful what you post online and be nice to one another but remember that calling people out is not hate. There is a line between fiction and fantasy and when it starts to mix, don’t be afraid to call it out.
This person needs help and I wish them the best in life. However, I will never stand with them or their beliefs nor will I support them. I hope this helps anyone who was confused or didn’t clearly understand what happened or why it happened.

My own thoughts? Pedophiles are a persistant online threat. They will try to sidle into a group and normalize their behavior within it.
This has been going on since at least the late 90s. The alt-right basically stole their playbook.

I myself have taken much backlash for calling out and reporting pedophilia in some stories that I have edited. I never feel ashamed of it, no matter how the authors and their flying monkeys try. Anything that they do next is a consequence of their own actions. Not my own. You've done good to let people know that the same applies to them.

As far as the offending author is concerned (I won't even use their name because that will bring them the recognition that they were looking for & I refuse to do that), it's not likely that they will do what they said that they were going to do in their last blog. They were just trying to guilt trip everyone for rightfully calling them out for the things they were saying & for the story that they had posted.
Really glad somebody took the time to explain what happened. All I saw of it was a post on the Clopfics group saying this was the result of "kinkshaming" and I had no idea what exactly it was about.

Oh god, I've seen the drama but I never knew how messed up this really was. I got the impression this was just another foalcon writer who wrote a clopfic and somehow got more backlash than the dozens of other guys who write such things. I don't personally think that is okay either. But that they actually tried to legitimize and romantisize this bullcrap and tried to push it onto the LGBT+ community is way, way effed up.
But I do agree, they need help, not death threats. And I hope they will get it instead of destroying themself.

I had thought much the same thing when I saw the first suicide warnings in my feed and then the subsequent follow-up, but when I looked, PRINCESS CADANCE's most recent story posting was as AnnEldest said: E-rated. The rest I have to trust to the volume of evidence, because I wasn't aware of any of the associated events until now-ish.
This does seem to be a perfect, horrible combination of undesireable personal outlook and cancel culture simplicity. Yes, we want to deny certain things - like actively promoting pedophilia - but simple cancellation of the person also does not help.
I just wish I had better answers for the comparative difficulty of breaking someone down specifically to build them back up.

Fantastically stated. Foalcon and anything involving pedophilia will never be accepted. It's disgusting and always will be. I came across PC through stumbling across their story "Harder, Daddy" which involved pedophilia/foalcon and I nearly threw up.
I don't want anyone to die, just for them to simply see that "kinks" or "fantasies" like these are never going to be accepted by anyone. As you stated, there's a line between fiction and reality, and when it comes to topics like these, it's crossing that line, and no longer counts as fiction, but more a clear problem with the individual who wrote it.
I pray that PC can get the proper help they need, and I hope they are in good health. This just happened to be that one case where they went too far and are paying the consequences. It's sad, but their own fault.
