First of all, I'll get the bad news out of the way. I'm not in a good place at the moment. Things are difficult. Financial concerns are one thing, that's just a fact of life these days, but other developments are all converging at once to turn my mental health into a metaphorical punching bag. Unfortunately, this has resulted in a singularly unhealthy form of ideation.
This isn't a goodbye note, let's get that straight. I'm working on getting an appointment with a doctor, and I'm doing what I can in terms of CBT and all that jazz, but it's not an easy process.
Either way, I'm still writing. It's one of the few things that actually makes me feel better, funnily enough, so I try to do it whenever I get a chance. I recently posted the start of a fic that's been on the back burner for a while, and I'm working on a while host of other fics as well, including a few spin-offs of Cards Against the Princesses, a sequel to it, a collaborative effort with another writer, a couple of crack fics, and a crossover fic with a game that can't be mentioned in polite company.
Anyway, I just wanted to touch base with people and let you all know that, if my posting becomes erratic over the coming weeks, this is why. That, and this is about the only safe space available to vent in at the moment.
