Those who dislike rampant grammatical errors will be happy to know that Rainbow Factory is getting edited for the first time ever.
That's right. The story with over 110k views and thousands of votes was a rough draft.

No ETA on this but I can't see it being longer than a week or so. If you are one of those puritans who hates change, best to download a copy of the story as it is now. I'm not adding or deleting any parts of the story, just fixing janky sentences and completely wrong grammar (I can't believe how many its I've it's'd in that fic), and maybe adjusting one or two lines that have been completely retconned by the Pegasus Device series.

It's been a while since I've last read the original (for some reason I find myself going back to the fan stories based on the original over the original itself), but I don't remember noticing any errors the first time.

When I reread it for the first time this last October, I found I had spelled two words wrong in the first paragraph, and promptly fixed those before leaving the rest of the story.

Well, that's the beauty of Fan Fiction. As long as the content of the story is good, people will like it and give a shit less about all the small grammar and spelling mistakes hidden within.

That's cool! And honestly, I see no value in puritanism when it comes to actual, undisputable mistakes. Touching the surrounding concept might be questionable, like reducing the violence because it's too edgy nowadays or something (I think we can all agree that it was this that originally sold the story), but it's never too late to fix typos or improper grammar.

Oh don’t worry, the violence is staying, as are the almost nonsensically edgy lines of dialogue, but there will be a couple of adjusted things; including “Cloudsdale Weather Corporation”, Dash and Atmosphere being Directors and not Manager and Forecolt respectively, and I want to adjust the description of the Pegasus Device to match the final design I outlined in Reckoning.
But all of those are what I would consider like, seasoning to the bulk of the dish; they don’t affect the story nor its impact, only adding extra flavour that brings RF into alignment with the rest of the Pegasus Device series.
How convenient. I've actually never read Rainbow Factory, or most of those other older & popular stories, but I've heard and enjoyed the songs enough times that I figured it was only right to read the original story, and here I am to find it just in time to see that it's being edited.
Suppose that means I'll be waiting a bit longer to read it, but that's fine. And hey, you've got a few other stories that sound nice! Looks like I'll be saving some of those for later as well.
As I said in my long-ass comment on Reckoning, Rainbow Factory has...shown how much you've grown as an author. Great that it'll finally get an edit. Even if it'll still be edgy as fuck. Buuut, that's what defined those kinds of stories, like Cupcakes.
