A Pony Kind of Christmas · 2:33pm Dec 25th, 2020
Back in 2016:
Sony Legacy Records released A Pony Kind of Christmas, a CD that was divided into two parts. The first half featured actors from the show singing more or less traditional human seasonal melodies, and the second half featuring Hearth's Warming Eve music from the two Hearth's Warming episodes.
I took the songs from the second half and put together a 25-minute program to air on my Sunday afternoon radio program, The Darkling Ecelctica that I've been producing since 1984--you can check twelve years of my playlists at the link earlier in this sentence.
My version of "A Pony Kind of Christmas" is meant for an audience unfamiliar with the show, so I spend most of the time summarizing the episodes so the songs will make sense in context. But since my show last Sunday and this Sunday is being pre-empted to broadcast UCI basketball, I won't have a chance to air the special this year. So here it is for anyone interested: an "audio only" extravaganza for your dining and dancing pleasure.

Days gone by just ruins me
:D
5422060 Same here.
I cry every time I hear it.
Must be Ashley's lovely voice, in addition to the song itself.
Lullay lullay
Thou little tiny foal
Sombra hath sworn thys day...
Neat. :)
Oh, I'm sorry the airing was cancelled, though!
I remember this; you did a great job!

Thanks, folks!
Mostly, though, it meant I didn't get to play the various odd Christmas tunes I've picked up over the years, like Don Byron's lovely little "Looney Tunes Meets the Nutcracker" piece.
Or the drunken clarinets of Wynton Marsalis's arrangement of "Carol of the Bells."
Oh, well. Just wait till next year!

Ah, outside of the pony section, you mean?
(I still hope to find time to listen to the show you linked at some point, but haven't at least yet beyond one second or so at the beginning to check out sound and length and such; sorry.)
(Oh, and by the way, I just discovered now that the Darkling Ecelctica link in the post doesn't seem to work, at least for me right now; sorry, I've been pretty busy these past few days, and still am now.)
Thanks for the music, and aye, good luck next year! :)

Thanks about the link!
You'd think after all these years that I'd be able to spell "eclectica" without adding too many extra letters...

Ah, you're welcome! Glad I spotted it. :)
(And it does seem to be working now. :))
And I did, the other day, get a chance to listen to it, and I enjoyed it; thank you. :)
