    Eclipse 2024

Best of luck to everyone chasing the solar eclipse tomorrow. I hope the weather behaves. If you are close to the line of totality, it is definitely worth making the effort to get there. I blogged about how awesome it was back in 2017 (see: Pre-Eclipse Post, Post-Eclipse

    End of the Universe

I am working to finish Infinite Imponability Drive as soon as I can. Unfortunately the last two weeks have been so crazy that it’s been hard to set aside more than a few hours to do any writing…

    Happy end-of-2023 everyone.

Particle Physics Adventures at a virtual science festival · 10:31pm Oct 16th, 2020

As my regular readers may know, I do a lot of science festival stuff. Which is usually only of interest if you live near me. However this year, as everything is obliged to happen online, anyone in the world can join us.

If you want to learn about science research in Oxford, register and join the IF festival for free tomorrow:

https://if-oxford-explorazone.vfairs.com/

and look out for my stall. We will be open and monitoring the text chat from 8am UK time, which is 3am in New York, Midnight in San Francisco, 8pm in Auckland, 10am in Moscow. We will stay online for 13 hours so everyone should get a chance to visit however late you sleep in.
