New fic is released: "The New Freedom" · 3:31am Oct 6th, 2020
It is time for my next story release! This story has been long in the making, I started writing it in January, then lost track of it for a little while and finished it in late May. It is a story I was requested to write and the requester of it got to read it in July already, however, the story has been resting as an unpublished story here since then, because I was also requested to release this story as my 40th submission here. And now, that moment of release has come.
This story is a request for my friend DinkyUniverse and was written for a very special milestone occasion in her life. She requested a story in which Dinky, Ruby Pinch and Liza Doolots move into a new house together. I sat down and started writing on the same day right after she made that request and the result was "The New Freedom".
In this story, Dinky and Liza move together with Ruby into an old mansion at the outskirts of Ponyville. Ruby had to leave her old home to escape a situation of abuse and, as she has anxieties and is scared of living alone, Dinky and Liza decided to live together with their friend in the new house. There is a creepy history behind the mansion, though, and this does not make the move easier for Ruby Pinch.....
"The New Freedom" is a slightly alternate universe story because of Dinky's personality, which differs from her personality in "Aunt Millie" that is in turn an accurate portrayal of the personality we see her with in the show's universe, but that young foals live alone in a house together, without adults, is something I see happening in the show's Equestria as well.
What else is happening in the story and why it carries the "Mystery" tag is being told by the story itself. One reader of it, the most important one, already knows everything but, if you wish, all of you other readers and followers of mine here on FIMFiction.net can now read it as well:
