I had a tire blowout on the highway today · 2:09am Sep 5th, 2020

Wasn't that big of a deal. Found the closest off ramp I could find; maybe a third of a mile before I could get off. Decided to replace all four tires; really glad I have tons of money saved up so I can afford this kind of shit now. A year ago I would have been fucked.

Ouch! That's not very pleasant!

Very nice. Civic, I presume?

glad you're ok

Sounds like fun. At least you didn't completely lose your tire. I saw that happen once, my mom had to swerve around the debris as it flew at us.

Good grief, what happened to that tire! I'm glad you ended up being ok, cause dang.

That sucks. Glad there was no injuries or other damage.

Thankfully I’ve not yet had a tire blow out on me. Closest to a blow out I’ve had happen was the treads on one tire completely came off while I was driving about 70 mph on a highway.

Just got a closer look of the pic. That tire is only about 4 years old and assuming you haven’t done a butt ton of driving nor got it used then it’s likely the tire had a defect or some damage weakened the sidewall.

Glad to hear that you're okay, and could get the tires replaced.

Ouch. Just glad that you had the income that getting new tires wasn’t that bad.

At least you’re safe and got everything fixed.

YIKES! Glad you're safe.

i don't think i have any pictures of it, but early last year i was driving to university for the first time with all my shit in my car right, and as i was passing through this one town marking just little under halfway there my drivers side front tire has the bolts shear off while i was going 65mph. i had to slow down and go to the side of the road and as soon as it happened my tire just kinda took off like, bouncing and just went ahead of the car into the opposite lane and then into the ditch. luckily nobody was in the oncoming lane or else something really bad could have happened. It was sooo annoying but thankfully wasn't too scary as i just was like "of course this would happen today"

Yeesh. Definitely could be worse though. Like my California highway experience last year...

Hmmm, there's something wrong here.

Just put in a can or two of fix-a-flat, you'll be good to go.

I'm not really if abyss drove in it for half a mile before being able to take care of the flat the tire is not salvageable. Glad to your ok Abyss.

I was joking. All the tire is good for now is those recycled rubber mats.

I only noticed when smoke began billowing out from behind the trailer. It was fully loaded with about 30,000 pounds of merchandise at that time and this happened rush hour in Bakersfield, CA.

Yeah, thank god for that.

5348858 The car tech told me that a huge screw made its way in between the tread, let all the air out, then the rim shredded the tire from the inside out.

With a little bit of flex seal, right? XD

Had a flat a couple weeks ago, believe it or not, it was a plastic ball point pen we found embedded in the tire.
