Quick Question About My Story

In The Bat Ponies Annoy Princess Luna, would you like longer chapters (1k+ words), or do you prefer then short (300-800 words)? Just wondering what my readers would enjoy more.

EDIT: How's this for the beginning of a new chapter? Also, what fruit pranks can you think of to go along with it?

It was known among the castle staff that Princess Luna ate like a bat pony: with a preference for fresh fruit, and with a lot of jaw strength. It was also known that she would happily eat rotten bananas, because apparently the skin's flavour was nicer once it had softened.

I like the most the 1.5k-2k long chapters.
And i think u can use the clasic banana joke, like the bat ponies use celestia personal banana orchand, and eat the bananas leaving the peels and a very slippery, like a lot of peels...

Hmm, and maybe frame Luna for it? I'll try and make this chapter longer.

I'm kind of in the midpoint of that spectrum. I personally like the short ones because they're nice, quick reads that you can just get a glance at if you need to go off and do something. But at the same time, you can't get a lot of back story or build-up, and it kind of loses the potential quality. I would say quickies below 2k words that can give enough context would be ideal, but that's just me.

Separately, to build on 5337996's idea, you can get a twofer by leaving the peels around in a path leading Luna to some kind of trap (classic cartoon trope), while at the same time putting that path through common places where ponies could easily slip on them, and also potentially find Luna getting led on by the path and wonder what the heck their princess is doing sniffing out banana peels.
