My laptop died last week. I had to wait for a Dell engineer to come and basically replace the entire thing - screen and mobo, which had all the important bits soldered onto it, because of course it did. They fucked up twice and I ended up having to re-install the OS even though that wasn't part of the deal. I pray they don't alter it further. I finally got it working last night.
And so the news: the next chapter of Stars Shine Forth is progressing. I should have it published by the end of an indeterminate period between one second and infinity, but probably some time next week.
How long it's taken me to write this damn thing...
I bet some of you have had kids in the meantime.
Sorry about the laptop difficulties, and good luck there. And thanks for the update. :)
Ouch. I know the feeling. My first HP tower’s mobo died a while back, specifically the spot that you plugged the HDDs into, and was on massive backorder due to that part basically being defective.
If by kids you mean shepherding a group project during the middle of quarantine, then sure!
