So, as most of you know, my future story, Apple Bloom's Mansion 4, will happen in a castle that I will have to design entirely, including the ghosts that Apple Bloom and the others will have to fight in it. As nice as it is to imagine rooms and ghosts, however, I don't doubt that you guys have ideas of your own, aaaand I'm not against receiving some ideas to help me design the over one hundred rooms that I want to put in this castle as well as the many, many ghosts that the heroines will have to face.
So, go on, leave here your ideas of rooms that Apple Bloom will have to explore and of ghosts that she will have to fight. Anything is good to take as long as it's coherent to the story, and I'm sure you all want to see how Apple Bloom and the others will deal with them. No matter if the room is a normal one with simple furnitures or one with traps and obstacles. No matter what power the ghost possess. You can even discute between each others to create "combo rooms" if you love someone's idea and want to add something.
I already have some rooms planned:
-The entrance hall
-The throne room
-The Great Hall
-A ballroom
-Some chambers, bathrooms, and all
-A kitchen
-A cellar
-Some balconies and terraces
-The roof of one or two towers at least
-A library
-A 'trophee' room
-Torture rooms
-A dungeon
-A mad scientist lab
-A graveyard
Ghosts planned (beside Thanatos and the four main bosses):
-Clover the Clever
-Princess Platinum
-Commander Hurricane
-Private Pansy
-Chancellor Puddinghead
-Smart Cookie
-Gusty the Great (Thanatos loves to collect ghosts of famous ponies once they die to turn them into his slaves)
-Soldiers
-Wraiths (a lot!)
-Torturers
-Cooks
-Servants
-Some scientists (mad or not. They will be the ones that came up with the anti-ghost cannons used in Apple Bloom's Mansion 3)
-Psychopaths (making a great comeback from Apple Bloom's Mansion 1, and there will be a lot more)
-And let's not forget the ghost possessing the dragon skull at the entrance

So:
-Windigos: Even if they are spiritual creatures, I'm not sure they can come to the spiritual world. I thought about them, and maybe I will find a way to make one or two come, but no promise.
-King Sombra: I thought about him too but I don't know if he can be considered dead like I said in the Author's Note of the last chapter of Apple Bloom's Mansion 2. Again, I will try to find something, and he could even be one of the four main bosses.
-Apple Bloom and Applejack's parents... I suppose they could work. Let's suppose they died a horrible death, then there's a high chance that they remained behind as ghosts who probably watched over their children only to be 'collected' by Thanatos' minions to turn them into his slaves.
-Pinkie's granny, I don't think it will be possible. She certainly died peacefully and passed on, and Thanatos had to interest to 'intercept' her before she could move to the afterlife.
-The Storm King isn't dead yet.
Nice rooms also. I don't know if I will use your third proposition (for Thanatos' castle, it would be too weird to find such a room), but I can try to use something similar. The others are all good propositions, especially the forge because it means that I could make them fight a black-smith.

Arg, I'm hesitating. Putting such a room would be nice (behind a secret passage), but this isn't a video game so it would come out of nowhere and make no sense.

Timed Dynamite is a weapon. If I remember right, Kirby had to use it against a Mini-Boss once. It's also used as a weapon in Kirby Fighters.
And Wisps can possess others to offer their powers, which essentially makes them weapons. Plus, the Avatar in Sonic Forces can weaponize Wisps further with a device called a Wispon.

Since you mentioned Gusty the Great being somewhere in the story. I was wondering if you could use Grogar as a ghost or some sort of secret boss to battle Apple Bloom. I'm just curious about the idea. Or a boss fight with Gusty and Grogar in a 3 way fight against Apple Bloom. The possibilities of the fights will be interesting.

Mmh... Eh. Cloning a ghost wouldn't be the most impossible stuff happening in this fic, but I don't think it will be Apple Bloom. I'm rather thinking of Little Ghost, and I will have to find a way to isolate Little Ghost from the others for a good 1 vs 1. But it won't really be a mirror fight because the clone won't possess a Poltergust.

Given that the original G1 Grogar was explicitly a necromancer,"who knows where" could very well turn out to have been Thanatos' realm. I can just see the scene: Apple Bloom enters the maximum-security section of the dungeon, and somecreature who appears to be a fellow living being begs her to set him free. Cue boss fight, because a) Apple Bloom recognizes that he doesn't really belong here but also shouldn't be allowed to go free and b) for a minion-user, starting off bound to a wall creates a good two-phase battle, maybe three if he commits suicide as the second phase change.

Good points. I don't know if he will be a main boss because, without his bell, he's greatly weakened, but I can already see many possibilities with him, especially with the laboratory just beside the dungeon.

Okay. By the way, I thought up a funny Final Smash for the CMC. They all yell 'CUTIE MARK CRUSADERS!' and then bombs of tree sap explode in random areas of the field which damage the foes, and if the foes aren't TKO afterwards, they are slowed for 20 seconds. What do you think? Funny right?

If there was a Smash Bros game with ponies as characters, then it would be perfect! However, it means that the three crusaders would have to be a single character, like the pokemon trainer with his three pokemons.

That's what I was thinking. Apple Bloom would take place of Squirtle because despite going on more adventures than Scootaloo, her weapons are manly focused towards ghost. Scootaloo would take place of Ivysaur because she's the middle ground out of your Crusaders. Sweetie Bell would take place of Charizard because she has gone on the most adventures among the three and her attacks aren't limited to only one type of enemy. The CMC Tree Sap Attack is their Final Smash as a homage to some of their adventures together before they got their Cutie Marks.. What do you think?
