Letters arc complete and posting Monday with Chapter 10 of The Knight, The Fey Maiden, and the Bridge Troll too

I have up to Chapter 99 complete in Letters From a Little Princess Monster, which is a little embarrassing since I *started* the arc in the middle of Covid season. It could have graduated from several universities in that time. Rather than tease bits out of it like I have before, I'm just going to go straight into my daily publishing routine and let you catch up on where I am on The Knight, The

Sun will be down for maintenance on Monday. Sorry for the inconvenience. --NASA

Here's a story by Estee you can read to take up the time until the Sun is all tuned up and returned to operation.

EA Total Eclipse Of The Fun
The second anniversary of the Return is approaching, and all Luna wants for the celebration is one thing -- something Equestria hasn't seen in more than a thousand years. This could be a problem.

    Big Leather Egg Sunday

A reminder (as John Cleese put it) that today is Big Leather Egg Sunday, and to celebrate, I'm linking the Best Football MLP story of all time by Kris Overstreet. Starring... Rarity?

    Goodbye Toby Keith, American Legend

Undoubtedly, if Toby Keith had ever done a tour in Equestria, Applejack would have been right there in the front row, whoopin' and a hollerin' as loud as possible. I think every high school in the US had a proud friendly guy like this, and we raise our red Solo cups in tribute to his last beer run. Salute!

New Year 2024- New Projects 1939

Still working on everything else this year, but I've got a sequel/prequel to Equestria: 1940 in the works, both a series of short stories set in the 1940 world up to the Equestrian moon project, and a war story showing some behind the scenes details about the war. For a little country the size of Ohio in the northern Atlantic, it has a lot of potential. Explosive, mostly. Snippets after the

Blog Post Promo for LooneyCon's Ask an Author panel · 4:54am May 31st, 2020

Hello, Friends! This Sunday 5/31 at 1pm PT/2pm MT/3pm CT/4pm ET, myself and several other FimFiction authors will be running an "Ask an Author!" panel for the virtual MLP convention LooneyCon! To watch, hop in the LooneyCon Discord Server (Invite Link: https://discord.com/invite/Kj9z4M2 ) and go to the Looney Hall voice channel (not the text channel), where we will be answering all your writing questions!

Now, an "Ask an Author" panel wouldn't get very far without any asks, so that's where you, dear readers, come in! Just comment on this blog any questions about writing (or anything else, I guess, if you're feeling spicy) you'd like to ask our panel of excellent writers Super Trampoline has curated! Spread the word and see you soon!

Super Trampoline made me post this. I'm an innocent pawn in this scheme. Also, I guarantee every question you ask will be answered (although I reserve the right to call "Uh, I dunno" an answer for the purposes of this event)

1. Why are you so awesome?

2. When writing a story that deals with heavy themes, how do you balance the innocent, cheery nature of the canon show with whatever more mature ideas you're exploring?

3. What story of yours are you truly shocked by the success or popularity of?

4. Hearkening back to question 2, do you think that the innocent, happy tone of canon actually helps when dealing with more mature themes?

5. When you are writing a story, what do you feel is most important? Like, is there some rule or guiding principle that you adhere to above all else?

6. What inspired you to write fiction?

7. Following on that, what inspired you to write pony fiction?

8. Now that the show is over, do you feel fan fiction is more important than ever because we will never get more canon details about the world?

9. Is there a genre or particular story that you were surprised you enjoyed?

10. Please explain, in excruciating detail, exactly why Jake The Army Guy is the absolute best fan fiction writer of all time, how he has inspired you to be better at your craft, and in what minuscule ways you feel you can at least begin to pay him back for all the incredible fiction he has granted the world, and in what way you believe his writing will shape the future of humanity.

Is there any option of the panel being recorded? This'll be 6 am local (Qld, GMT+10) for me and I don't think I'll be up at that time.

Yeah, I am going to be busy during the panel. Can y'all record it?

Oh hey, didn't realize you'd be on the panel as well. This should be even more fun!

FYI: The Schedule is here. I'm horrible with time zones so if I'm missing at the time it starts, Super Trampline has my phone number, and you all can call me an old man.
