How goes it gang? Keeping well in the crazy times? Eating the best you can and talking with the sun as much as you can handle? Good good. Doing those two mean more than you can know. Enough about that though. This blog is about something different.
I am a big fan of afterwords. This is the time where the author comes out from behind the stage to say a few words to the crowd before them. Just because a writer speaks about there work does not mean you cannot fulfill your oath to 'death of the author.' Your opinion about the work is merely equal to that of the reader. Of course, whoever has the better reasoning for their point tends to possess the greater value overall—but that's beside the point.
Afterwords are the opportunity for the writer to give the backstory to the story, expressing the process itself and their feelings on the matter, that, and what comes next. There are more than a few stories I regret not writing my feelings on to gauge how they changed over time. That, or how an idea or premise came to me in the first place.
These notes possess some interest as I tend to write them to the same length of a blog. Sometimes what a writer says about the work is more interesting than the work itself. I have found that to be the case for others, and thus, I imagine the same is true in regards for me. So in light of this I have decided to start posting my afterwards in my blogs for the sake of the slightly interested.
Now with that out of the way.

I feel like it's redundant at this point to say this story is a strange one. All of my stories are strange ones. The only thing I claim is all my stories are uniquely strange.
This story began as a collaboration between An Intricate Disguise and I but, as you can guess, the project fell through the cracks. The first chapter was written in 2018 and the finale didn't occur until 2020. AiDs has me beat in nearly every regard in writing and prose. His scope of stories, however, keep only inside the premise and never touch outward.
The first chapter was much like that. Just Spike and a tape, jerking off to that, Rarity appearing, her finding the tape, the two doing the business. Despite how simple it sounds, none else could do it as well as him, to actually make one feel alive and immersed in such a risque scene.
But I am not quite that good.
Rather all I have to cop to are the 'deeper' elements in a story. Something just beneath the surface that infuses the whole. It's because of this you can see the difference in the middle of the story where a theme was interjected.
It's of my belief you can go back to any story and update it. Allow there to be differences in the writing itself if you please—how great of a difference is there and how much of it is in our heads?—edit the whole after the fact to keep the 'level' consistent.
What about changes to the story? When I came back to this story, the whole of it lurked in the back of the head—as most tales do—but asked to be expanded. Take what you have and reflect. What can be added or changed but keeps the whole about the same?
Rarity is a pornstar for reasons of wanting to feel appreciated. She is a mare who knows what she has and loves to flaunt and tease it, and yet, doesn't actually feel those qualities are as deeply appreciated as she would like them too. Even becoming famous doesn't fulfill that craving.
But the days of being chased by Spike allowed her to feel like she was before a full and round mirror. In that once annoying purist of her, she realized it was that she craved most of all. Thus with that little theme tucked within the premise, I began work.
And then the porn chapter is the porn chapter. Let this be another sharing of advice. If you crave comments—threaten to withhold porn.

I’ve never considered withholding content for comments before, since those always felt like they were an extra. I’m not sure how I could do it without being rude too, or if it’s a good idea in the first place.
