Coming back to it, I don't know why, but the overall 'feeling' of the game just hooks me so strongly. I think it comes from what you could imagine from just the music and such around the game. Duran Duran has always been tight, and 'Ordinary World' for Evil Within 2 is another feeling and vibe in itself.
5777383 It's a great game and I've been occasionally thinking about it myself lately. And Duran Duran's very high on my list of favorite bands of all time, I don't care who makes fun of me for saying it.
That game actually introduced me to Midge Ure's cover of "The Man who Sold the World" which I actually think stands head and shoulders above Bowie's original. I don't say that about covers of songs, basically ever.
That and the specific musical moment of encountering a remote little Soviet outpost in the middle of Afghanistan, with a tape player looping the chorus of "Kids in America," really sold the vibe for me, at least as far as the soundtrack goes.
Ok, fine, I'll reinstall MGS:V.

I've had a strange craving for it.
I bashed it on release and left it for a while.
