I don't think I've ever done this before but, instead of posting with a Super chapter, today I'm announcing an up coming story, specifically for the theme of Mother's day. I wrote this back in February, but after thinking on it, I used it as a sort of base to create an AU off of, one in which instead of just pretending EQG just doesn't exist outside of the movies or when they're relevant, Twilight goes in and starts replicating 'human' technology and putting it into practice in Equestria. The modern revolution she starts changes the timeline in a big way, so past season 4, things just don't happen and all the new problems they face as a group involve new tech.
In this story, the girls are about 16-18 for season 1 and this takes place twenty years later. The world, however, is the same one as
which I'm calling my 'Bright Future' AU. So too, Shall This Pass is set well before this one though, as Whiskey is something like 5/6 years old here, and he's 17 in the next story, which is titled; "Like Mother, Like Daughter" It features Rarity and her daughter, Pearl. There will likely be a few stories I do here, and I believe those stories I've been writing with Sunset and Celestia will tie into this, eventually leading to a change in how the first Equestria Girls movie ends that really sets this world up.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy "Like Mother, Like Daughter" when it fully releases on the 10th. Parental interactions seem to be my favorite thing to write across all my stories, so maybe this is just something that works for me.
In Super news, did you know that a vague outline of what happens next is just not enough information? You would think I'd have learned this last time, but no. I've been so focused on the major climax of Super all this time that I kinda forgot what happens after. There's supposed to be a lot of explanation going on from here until the final confrontation and I uh... never detailed any of it. Where Citrus and Blood are from, what really happened to Rosie Apple, A day in the life of Silicon Argent, the Slate reunion, and of course, the final battle. All of it scheduled, and none of it detailed in any significant way.
So, if you were wondering what happened to my pace, that is what happened to my pace. The outline now has about a chapter and a half worth of story to write in it, but I need like three more to cover everything. C'est la vie.
I've also been drawing! If you haven't noticed or seen it yet, the cover of Super has changed for the first time in four years, and I've been on a streak of drawing all the characters in their costumes. I plan to do my main 7, the princesses and two other characters, and eventually make a group picture out of them all. you can find the ones that are complete here, along with the old cover and another picture I did a long time ago.
Anyways, that's all for now. TL;DR, new story on mother's day for mother's day, and Super is in the works.
