This is an "I'm sorry I haven't written much lately, let me update my followers" blog.

Yeah, I know. Very original of me.

Basically: I am not good at planning. I'm in school for writing right now and when I was deciding on the dates I was going to be submitting my original pieces for workshop at the start of the term, I put zero thought into it and only a few weeks ago realized that most of my submission dates are set for this week. I have many, many things due. But! I'll be fine. I'm working through them and being this busy is actually sort of fun, in a masochistic kind of way. The only downside is that I haven't been able to pay attention to my fanfics.

However, after this week, maybe after this week and a little bit of next week, I'll be totally free. Let me tell you what I'm planning on writing:

Never Seen

This is my (soon, one day) gigantic adventure fic that I've been working on for the last couple of months, and it's delayed update is the thing that's giving me the most guilt right now. I started in October, and then essentially took November and December off because of the holidays and because I was writing my piece for FoME's Imposing Sovereigns contest. I have most of the story outlined, though, so once I get done with my real life stuff it's simply a matter of sitting down and writing. Please check this story out if you haven't, yet! I promise it'll be worth it at some point, if not by the end of my latest chapter.

Does She Know—

This is a little something that just came to me all at once. It's just a no frills, first-person Smolcellus story. Bit of a slower burn romance than I usually go for.
I'm excited about this not because the idea's particularly mind-bending, because it isn't, but because I think it's just going to be a really tight, solid shipping story. I'm super happy with my outline, and what I've written so far just makes me smile. This is going to be something that I can point to and go "here's why you should ship this ship". I'm not sure when this'll be releasing, but writing it has felt like a breeze, so expect it sometime in the next month or two.

The Mare in the Wardrobe

Wow. The .5% of you who either followed me back in the day because of this fic, or are still tracking it for some reason, are going to finally get it. At some point.

Yes, I am going to write this story again. No, I will not pick up where I left off. I'm rewriting the whole thing!

This story's been haunting me for a long while as something that I love the premise of, but did not have to skill or talent or time or interest to execute in a way that would have made be happy. Until now. Things are in the works! Like the other two pieces, I'm excited for this one. I think I have a really good idea about where to take this, and I'm 100% going to write all of this before releasing, so don't expect this extremely soon, but maybe expect it by the end of July? I don't know. The important part for you is that this is happening again, and to prepare for some Pinkie Pie time shenanigans.

What, you thought that was it? Well, no. I have another paragraph.

In terms of writing that isn't directly, completely my responsibility I have this thing going on with The Magic Continues and we're due to announce the winners for The Discovery: A Young Six Writing Contest soon. I'm super pleased with the amount of entries we've received and I hope you read the submissions if you haven't yet! Or maybe you don't like the Young Six! That's cool too but I also don't know why you're following me...but also thank you for following!
