Director's cut: Alicorns and Beards, chapter 1, two mistakes · 4:42am Jan 22nd, 2020
Because "When Dating a Sunset" was such a long story, It's been a few months since I wrote a new story with my human OC Eric Reed that wasn't an update on the forementioned story.
When I was trying to think of the next story with Eric, not counting the story I started but got stuck, I looked at the stats on my stories with him. I noticed that, in general, the Eric Reed stories that seems to get the most views tend to have Twilight Sparkle as a focus. Purple smart is one of my favorite characters to use in stories anyway, so that made it that much more easy to pick her as a character to have the focus on in the next story with Eric. This time as an antagonist, albeit an adorkable one, from a technical standpoint.
Now, one thing I never really did in stories with Eric was mention anything about if he shaves or otherwise have haircuts. Long story short: it led to the "Alicorns and Beards" story being born.
From an editing standpoint, there's one noteworthy edit. Originally, there was no "new" cabinet that Twilight hid in, but one that was already in the kitchen. Later, it seemed she would have too little room to fit (from what the show showed) so I edited in the new, larger, cabinet that she hid in.
This next part is on a kinda related note. In my Eric Reed stories as a group, this is really unintentional, but they kinda show how it might be like, as a human, live with characters like Twilight. She'll be great to you to will always be there for you, and things would probably be great. Until she starts stressing or obsessing out something, then get out of her way! And if it's something about you, whoa, nelly! The story "Alicorns and Beards", of course, shows the "Whoa, nelly!" part of living with her.
