Delay on Starlight Glimmer story & future story voting time (again) · 1:43am Mar 21st, 2024
I'll cut to the chase: I was planning to release a special Starlight story for this year's Starlight Glimmer Day (today) which I had mentioned in some past blogs. It had been partly written for weeks now, and I was going to resume and finish it in time for Glim Glam's day.
Yeaaaah, about why best unicorn's story is a no-show. I had been a little more tired than usual the last few days, which threw a monkey wrench into some of the time I was planning to put in to finish writing & editing it. It's a one-shot and isn't that long, so I was tempted to try to rush it in time for today, just but let's just say I thought better of it and gonna prioritize quality. However, the story is planned to be out in 3-5 days, depending on my energy level and nothing else comes up.
But enough of that. Instead of just making a separate blog about it, I'm just going to add the voting for the next story (after Starlight's story) on this blog. Much like the past votings, there will be 3 options to choose from. The two with the most votes will be the next stories.
And the nominees for my fiendish mind to have fun with are...
Story A: Trixie freaked out Twilight and Starlight by referring to herself in the first person, and consequently made them think she was seriously sick. Just ignore it was how Trixie usually talked when not putting on shows, which Trixie herself tried to tell them...
Projected genre tags: Comedy, possibly Random. Projected title: First Person Trixie
Story B: Princess Luna recently gained a fondness for Equestrian video games, but ponies she had played them with started to claim they were sick. How Luna tended to take games very seriously and even rage when she lost, much like many a gamer has, might have been the real reason for the other ponies calling in sick.
As a last-ditch effort to find more ponies willing to play with Luna, Princess Celestia asked Twilight if she knew anypony up to the task. Starlight and Spike suggested for Twi to send Sunbutt one of the most competitive gamers they knew, Eric Reed (my human OC), to try what every pony before him failed to last even a week doing: taking on "Gamer Luna".
Projected genre tags: Slice of Life, Comedy. Projected title: The Gamer Alicorn & Human
Story C: Chrysalis discovered a way to feast on ponies' love unchallenged. Every time she did and either the Mane 6, Starlight, or the Princesses rose to stop her, she claimed to be "sorry." However, under Equestrian law, it was forbidden for those in power (i.e. alicorns) to punish a villain who said they were sorry.
You see where this is going...

I'm currently undecided on if this story would take place before or after the Season 6 finale, so Chrysalis may or may have the rest of the changelings during her, uh, feeding times.

This is going to be hard to decide but I think I’m going to go with “Sorry (Suckers!)” first with “Gamer Luna” at second and “First Person Trixie” at third.
They're all pretty tempting, but I think I'll go with B, with hopes that A wins second place (Or we get a tie and you write all three
