Decided to be up front for once. Pinkie's Politeness Practice is going to hit an update slowdown period. There's a lot of reasons for this. Holidays are here, School semester ending and therefore crunch time. Stress is high and sleep is low, boys.
Beyond that, the rewrites have been pretty difficult to get right. Muse is a fickle thing. If not for Mobius and his ace in the hole brainstorming, I'd probably not get much done.

Anyhow, for those out of the loop, the 'intervention' scene in ch2 isn't merely divisive. Impressions range from accusations that the whole story normalizes rape to Anon being too submissive, to readers just not liking it but brushing it off as a necessary plot device. I think PPP can do better, so I've been banging my head against a wall and trying to do a rewrite.
There have been really helpful suggestions, but finding the right words is hard. I honestly LOATHE rewrites after publishing because I tend to try recycling paragraphs that I liked, but that no longer fit and need a lot of reworking. There's also the matter of trying to keep the original comedic tone that gradually turns serious. That's been going well enough but it's, again, not easy. Usually I start with a vague idea of a scene, let my muse take me, and if it comes out enjoyable, I keep it. I don't start out with a tone in mind really. This is working in reverse, while also trying to get it to fit into the larger narrative without setting off a domino of rewrites.
Anyhow, it's going to be worth it in the end. I just wanted to be up front about a delay. It's not going on hiatus so don't panic.

The originals will be preserved for those who prefer them, but this isn't me caving to pressure. I genuinely can see the problem and want to make a better intervention scene.
It's all good. Take care of your IRL stuff first. Don't wear yourself out. I know I'll still be here patiently waiting for when the next update is ready.

There's nothing more important than an education.
And don't stress bro it'll make your hair fall out.
It can't be helped when you look at what time of the year it is, especially for a college student. Tensions running high, high pressure family matters. Thats not to mention the gifts for said family. Take as much time as you need.

I’ve read similar stories dealing with different morals in Equestria, regarding sex as well as other things. I personally have had no complaints with the story and anticipated each chapter one after the other.

As long as we get more stuff eventually, I'm sure nobody will mind. I did find it a bit rapey, but I brushed that aside since I figured it was an excuse to get to the smutty parts. It might be a good idea to have Anon taken seriously when he says that sex is the most intimate act possible for humans, and explore pony 'special somepony only' forms of affection earlier to give Anon (and us) a point of reference.
Will you be updating chapter by chapter, or finishing the whole thing before you post the new version?

If you're looking for suggestions (or open to requests), the main issue I have is the weird insistence that not having sex is bad, and masturbating is wrong.
The whole story would work just fine, mostly as is, if it were just them helping Anon to acclimate to the social environment. I don't think there needs to be the extra layer of "you are wrong and should be ashamed of yourself."

I think Pinkie's Politeness Practice is a great read so far. I get writer's block too and it's a pain. Take your time and I'll be sure to check out it when a new chapter shows up.
Really hoping you can come back to this one, it's been a good read so far and would love to see where else you could go with it
