Interview with Robipony

“Alright, now tell me my dear friend, what inspired your username?
Response: Well, my first name is Robert when I was younger I went by Robbi, Robbie Pony then becomes Robipony.
“What drew you into Mlp?
Response: Originally what drew me to MLP was the creepypastas as well as seeing Markiplier play Containment is Magic. While I still enjoy some of the dark elements surrounding the show, I have mellowed out a little bit. Now I find myself enjoying it for its comedic moments
“Who is your favorite pony and why?
Response: This is a tricky question to answer. Back in my grimdark days I would have said Pinkamena, all the way. I suppose it was because I liked the way she looked with her straight mane (it's still cute, I just wish she could have the straight mane and be happy). I suppose out of the mane six, I would probably say that Rarity is my favorite. Outside of that, both Mane-iac and Skellinore fulfill my monster mare needs... now they just need more stories.
“Favorite episode and why?”
Response: I really like Inspiration Manifestation. It has a descent moral, both Spike and Rarity have some good moments and there is a book that literally is the Necronomicon and the One Ring combined and then toned down for kids. It has a lot of fanfic potential as well.
“What inspires you to write?”
Response: Well, I have a lot of ideas bumping around my head, but generally I find a niche that isn't filled and I try to write in order to filled said niche. At first it was gorgon ponies (or gorgonies) as most of the "gorgons" on the site were just renamed Lamia/Naga and not actual gorgons. Later it would evolve into Monster Mares (monster girls but their ponies).
“Tell us about a story that inspires you to write. It doesn’t have to be mlp specifically!”
My favorite book was The Strange Case of Doctor Jekyll and Mister Hyde. I can see where its dark atmosphere might have inspired my older work. I can't say it has inspired much of my current work, but who knows what the future may hold. I suppose I like the mystery elements as well as the characters in that story.
“Give us the background of the author! Tell us all about you. Well in a short summary.
Response: Well, I am a single christian man (surprising I know) who enjoys MLP, Monster Girls and playing video games (I'm super pumped for Borderlands 3 and the Outerworlds). I work as an FPI NDT Technician who didn't start out looking for that career, but I am enjoying it all the same. I like both writing and drawing in my spare time. My favorite food is mexican and I am on the ketogenic diet, which has resulted in me going from 240 pounds to 185 pounds.
“What is one thing mlp has taught you?”
Well, my writing skills have improved from the various entries I have made here on Fimfiction. I have also made quite a few friends here in this community and personally I see no reason why that should stop, even with the current series coming to an end.

“Is there anything else you'd like to say?
Response: Just a couple words of advice. When writing stories remember to have fun and to write what you want to write, not what you think everyone else wants you to write. If you aren't enjoying the story you are trying to tell, then it is very likely you are writing the wrong story

Very true point regarding your advice. You can try to fight it in those cases but the story WILL fight you back.
